  1. I am using 2x 970 EVO Plus's for my build. Link to Drives When searching for answers on whether to use the PCH or CPU lanes for maximum speed all i see is about it using 4 lanes and the GPU will drop to 8x lanes. Thats fine, i understand my GPU "might" suffer in higher load games. But what i cannot figure out from reading online is, would i see any performance gain from the 2 drives being on the CPU lanes? For reference i am using Asus Gene XI 9700k Thanks.
  2. Hi, I have recently Built a new PC, Relevant specs as follows: Intel i7 9700K Asus Maximus XI Gene 2x Samsung 970 Plus NVME's When the drives are standalone i get really high IOPS in excess of 400k, can't remember off the top of my head. But when i put them in Raid 0 they seem to drop substantially to sub 200k. I have noticed changing the stripe size has an impact on performance (64k is best so far that i have seen - still to try higher), but still does not reach anywhere near 400k. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light and advise, in laymans terms what i may not be doing, or am doing wrong. I am fully aware that 2 NVME's in raid 0 is over kill and does not produce twice the numbers. I have attached a Screeny of a couple of tests on a raid 0 using a data stripe size of 16kb (the worst performing so far according to numbers) Thanks for any feedback in advance.
