  1. I am trying to clone all the contents of my raid 5 to a single hdd so I can remove the raid array entirely. I tried to use Arconis True Image WD Edition but it doesn't support the cloning of dynamic disks so I don't really know what to do from here. I am new to all this so be gentle. I have an ASUS P8P67 Pro mobo and the raid 5 is 3 WD 500gb hdd's, and its using the on-board raid controller i guess or whatever the mobo has. I ultimately want to have only one single 1tb drive and get rid of the raid array. I have already installed the 1tb hdd that I want to clone to, it's a WD blue 1tb hdd. If there is any other info that could help just let me know and i will try my best provide it. This seems like something that should be simple but I can't figure it out and I can't seem to find anything online on any forums with any answers for me. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.
  2. ok awsome thats much easier then i thought it would be!
  3. And i know this is probably a simple thing to solve but I know nothing about raid arrays and how they work. i just want to be sure so I dont mess anything up. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks, so I can add the new drive even with raid enabled ? then just copy, paste, disable raid and I'm done ?
  5. Hello all, I really need to replace my hdd's. They've lived out their expected life span plus some, with some abuse along the way. So my question is.... How do I go about switching out my raid 5(3 hdd's) with a new SINGLE drive ? I have backed up all of my pics, music, movies, and games, now i just need to know how to fix this thing!!! I'm still a noob when it comes to working on my pc so any and all help is appreciated because the only things i've done are swap out my gpu and add more RAM.... and thats... well... easy mode so.. ya. Thanks in advance!
