  1. Just got a brand new Basilisk Ultimate (wireless) mouse this weekend after my G502 started giving out. It's been working great but as of last night I've noticed a high-pitch whine coming from the mouse. As soon as I turn the mouse off it stops. Is there anyway to fix this or should I just exchange it? 2. Hey everyone. I'm having some issues with my ASUS AX11000 router and the 2.4GHz. This originally started when I was trying to setup a WiFi enabled irrigation timer on my network, but I kept receiving a 'password incorrect' error. I began playing around with the network's security settings on the router's webpage and since then, I am unable to connect ANY device to the 2.4GHz network even after resetting the network security settings back to the way they were originally and rebooting the router. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
  3. Hmm, didn't see that option when I went through the setup process. It asked me if I wanted a simple, mirror, etc. and I went with simple. Should I delete/format and try again?
  4. How would I go about setting the number of columns to 2? Is that within Windows or the BIOS?
  5. I just purchased two 860 EVO SSDs (2.5", 1TB) and want to set them up in RAID 0 for games, etc. I know I can create a storage pool within Windows, but I'm wondering if the drives would perform better in RAID 0 setup through my MoBo BIOS (Auorus Z390 Master). Can someone let me know what the best method is in terms of performance?
  6. Like I said, I'm going to be doing a custom liquid cooling loop on the system once I upgrade the video card, so I'm not too worried about noise/heat levels. Thanks for the input!
  7. I've been looking to upgrade to a 2080 Ti for a month or so now. I've always bought EVGA products and have never had any issue with them, but EVGA has quite a few SKUs for the 2080 Ti and I'm having trouble deciding which one will meet my needs/be best for me. My two options are the FTW3 Ultra and the Black. From what I've seen in benchmarks, the FTW3 Ultra only comes in a few frames ahead of the Black card in most games (stock clocks on both cards). Is the FTW3 Ultra worth the extra $350-400? I usually put a mild overclock on my cards, but I'm by no means a OC nerd. Any thoughts?
  8. I've heard those stories as well, but the only backlight bleed I've ever noticed is on a completely black screen and the monitor is the only source of light in a pitch-black room and even then it's not very noticeable.
  9. I have an ASUS PB287Q that I'm using as my secondary monitor and is plugged into my 1080 Ti via DisplayPort. I also have a primary monitor plugged in via DisplayPort. Whenever I turn the monitor on, I get signal for 3-10 seconds, then the screen goes black (as if the monitor were off) but the monitor is still on. I now have an HDMI cable running to the PC from the monitor and haven't had any issues. Do I need a new cable?
  10. I've been using this monitor for a year or two now and I absolutely love it. 165hz in "OC" mode, 1440p, and IPS. It looks absolutely gorgeous when playing games and I haven't had a single issue with it. https://www.newegg.com/black-asus-rog-swift-pg279q-27/p/N82E16824236660?Item=N82E16824236660&Description=pg279q&cm_re=pg279q-_-24-236-660-_-Product
  11. That looks pretty clean and the price isn't too bad either. Thanks for the input!
  12. I like the Dynamic, and the Dynamic XL looks like it'd be a good fit however I can only find it in the white/aluminum finish and I'm not a huge fan. Maybe if I can find one in black?
  13. I've been a fan of Corsair cases for a while and currently own a 280X and 450D and love them both, however I'm looking for a case that can support EATX, provides ample room for cable management and can handle dual 360 rads, or possible a 240/360 combo. Can't seem to find too much that I like online and was wondering if any of you have a case that you'd recommend for this type of build. I'd prefer a mid tower, but I'm open to a full tower as well.
  14. Yeah, I get that. Like I said, I bumped things down to 'confirm' as I was seeing the issue at 1440p as well. Appreciate the help.
  15. I kinda figured it was. Monitor is a PG279Q (1440p, 165HZ). The CPU was previously OC'd to 5GHz, but I was running into stability issues here and there, so I bumped it down a bit. Normally I run at 1440p, but after noticing a few issues I began running some benchmarks at 1080p to get a better idea of whether or not I had an issue with the CPU.
  16. Long story short; I recently changed my OC settings on my CPU and GPU and I'm now seeing (what appears to be) a CPU bottleneck in some of my games. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, for example, I'm seeing GPU usage as low as 40% and CPU usage as high as 100%, which seems odd to me as I don't remember having issues like this previously. I currently have an i5-8600K and a GTX 1080 Ti FTW3. The CPU is overclocked to 4.8GHz and there is a mild overclock on the graphics card. I've included a couple of screenshots during the in-game benchmark, which shows the low GPU/high CPU usage. I don't have any processes that could be getting in the way, such as chrome or an AV. What's going on?
  17. Thanks for the info. I’ll give them a call today and see what they say. Hopefully it’ll be an easy fix.
  18. I've tried Ookla and Xfinity's speed tests. Both resulted in a speed of around 72mpbs.
  19. That's what I'm looking into now, but the router/modem they gave me is designed so terribly that it's taking me a while.
  20. Mostly WLAN, but I tried over ethernet and saw the same speeds, which were about 72mpbs.
  21. You would think that the modem they offer is cabable of those speeds, but I could be wrong. I've been looking over all the different settings within the modem's control panel and I can't find much related to network speeds. I doubt the speeds are slow due to my device's bandwith limits because I'm seeing the exact same speed on all devices and I know for a fact that some of those devices are capable of handling higher bandwidth.
  22. I recently upgraded to gigabit internet through Xfinity and as part of the plan, they gave me a modem/router that they said could handle those speeds, however I have tested my speeds (both over Ethernet and Wi-Fi) and I'm barely touching 100mbps. These tests have been performed on a range of devices including a laptop, my gaming PC, an iPad Pro and an iPhone XS. The speeds are almost always identical and are only off by 1-2mbps every test. Do I need a new router/modem for these speeds or is there something going on with my service from Xfinity? I'm not too informed when it comes to networking, so any help would be appreciated.
  23. I’m having an issue with a SSD installed in my PC as a secondary hard drive. Earlier today I was playing The Division 2 when the game froze. After force closing the game I attempted to relaunch it through Uplay and noticed the game was missing from the ‘installed’ list of games in my library. I opened up file explorer and noticed that the entire drive was missing. I also checked disk manager and it’s not appearing there as well. I restarted my PC a few times and the drive still isn’t showing up. I opened up the BIOS and that hard drive slot no longer lists the drive as a Crucial MX500, but as “IBA GE Slot 0600 v1562”. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z370N WiFi. Anyone have any idea on what I could do to get this drive to be regonized? Or is the drive dead and I’m SOL? Thanks.
