    Upgrade from i3 to a Ryzen 5

They said The 3rd gen would come mid 2019,I feel like that would be July-ish. So i think I should wait, cuz when the 3000s arrive, the 2nd gen going to get cheaper. Id rather get a 2nd gen and do some future proofing cuz I know that my 1050ti definitely will need an upgrade in 2-3 years. Thanks !
  2. I'm thinking about upgrading from my old i3 4130 to a Ryzen 5 1600. It is available at the same price as a 2400g. I saw some benchmarks and looks like 1600 is equivalent to and sometimes better than the 2400g. Should I go for it or should I wait for the 3rd gen to drop and get a 2nd gen one for cheaper ? I'm trying to make the most out of my GTX 1050ti, and not overshoot it while trying to upgrade the processor. Just a budget friendly upgrade to replace the old processor while not spending too much to see my 1050ti bottleneck it.
  3. Also I stopped windows update from services.
  4. I have Steam, MSI afterburner and Logitech G-hub running in the background. Are these heavy ?
  5. I have an i3 4130 with 8gb DDR3 ram. I just noticed that my pc has quite a high idle ram usage- 2.8GB at idle. I asked my friend, he also has 8 GB Ram with a Ryzen 5, but his Ram usage- is only 2.1 GB. Is it okay and just because I have a slow processor, or is it actually high, and what steps do you suggest I take ? Should I just straight up reinstall windows ? Will it make a difference ? Also I have a 2tb Seagate HDD, Shud I completely wipe it ? Will it speed it up ? Also what tool do you suggest I use to wipe the hdd ? thanks.
  6. Yeah, I have forever to hold out, the old one still works at 60 fps-ish lol. Almost impossible to get an old 4th gen processor, they are damn too expensive now. I'd rather wait till summer
  7. As you people are suggesting and is infact true that the GTX 1050Ti is slow, What could be a processor that could make the most out of it, without getting too over the top ?
  8. A Ryzen 5 2600 is about 230 USD in India, with that you can estimate the prices of the others, and an i5 8400 is about 270 USD.
  9. Yea, here an i5 7400 is cheaper than an i5 4th gen, and an i7 4th gen is over double the price !
  10. The VS is written in orange
  11. U mean the colour of the psu or is it something deeper ? The psu colour is gray
  12. The RTX 2060 is currently VERY expensive in India, and the market for old stuff is also Shit, could you give me an alternative that could help me make out the most from the 1050ti ?
  13. I have a Corsair vs450
  14. I want to upgrade from an i3 4130 with 8gb 1600 mhz ram to an i5 8400 with 16 GB 3000 mhz ram. I am not changing my graphics card, which a GTX 1050ti 4gb version. How much of a performance upgrade can I expect in gaming? I primarily play Rainbow six siege and GTA V. And can I run these on a 450 watt power supply ? Also if someone could recommend a cheap but good motherboard for this same, would be highly appreciated. I currently get 60 fps-ish on low-medium settings in R6, with only a gradual drop near to explosions. Also my 1050ti is a 6-pin version and is peak overclocked.
