I don't know how to help getting it working. But before you can use your new cpu, you will have to boot with the old one first and update the bios.

I reinstalled windows and installed chipset drivers but it still does it

I installed a new cpu today, i went to try it on some games but my system keeps crashing. When it crashes the screen is frozen and my keyboard and mouse lose power. It only gets to about 70% on the cpu at aroung 55 to 60 degrees. i5 3470 gtx 1050 ti 8gb ram

Yeah i have a I7 860 at the moment and the i5 coming for a build for my mum but if the i5 is better i will keep it and give her the i7.

Hi i really need some help. Which cpu would be better for gaming I5 3470 or an I7 860. I know that the i5 is faster but the i7 has hyper-threading so im not sure. Thanks
