  1. Is my CPU cooler good enough to overclock? I think, could be wrong but my temps are too hott on the high end. Highest that I have seen my CPU get is 72-75C, and GPU I have seen from 75-82C.
  2. I'm not sure if it's time for an upgrade or not, most of my games are playable on high, but I do not get stable 60fps, sometimes I get as low as 20fps. I'm thinking it might be the graphics card but not really sure. Specs are, CPU: i7-4790K "stock" HEATSINK: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo MOBA: Asus Maximus VII Formula RAM: 32GB Corsair Dominator 1866MHz DDR3 GPU: R9 290X Lightning "stock" PSU: Corsair RM850X SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 256GB Titles I play are ARK, Assassins Creed Unity, Fallout 4, Gold Rush The Game, Star Citizen, Space Engineers.
  3. I got a program called "CAM" to see all the temps and voltages and fan speeds. I used my motherboard to "auto" preformance mode oc but I didn't like the 90C I was getting on my cpu so I went back to "normal" mode, but I noticed that my ram was at 1333MHz instead of the 1866MHz that they are stock at. Did I do something wrong?
  4. Hello. I recently upgraded my computer to a Intel i7-4790K, Asus Maximus VII Formula. I'm using my old heatsink from my last build "Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo". I have not overclocked it at all and I'm running 40C at idle on the cpu. Is this ok? And what would a max "safe" temp be underload?
  5. I have the 212 Evo already. Had it for a few years.
  6. Ok thank you. I'll stick with stock then, trying to use air cooling as much as I can. I know its came a long ways *liquid cooling* but I still have a fear of leaks melting down my pc haha. I might look into the "Noctua's".
  7. Would I be able to do it "safely" with a Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212?
  8. I got it all for "FREE". My buddy upgraded his rig and gave me the motherboard, cpu, ram and both gpus.
  9. Ok cool. I do not plan on overclocking, I don't trust myself doing that kind of stuff haha.
  10. Hello. My buddy sent me alot of computer parts after he upgraded his rig and I was wondering if I would need to upgrade my PSU for the graphics cards. I have a Asus Maximus VII Formula Motherboard, i7-4790K not overclocked, 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866Mhz ram, a MSI R9-290X Lightning Edition graphics card and a Corsair RM 850X power supply. I was wondering if I would be able to run another R9-290X Windforce in crossfire with the "Lightning" with my current psu?
