  2. Hi I've recently purchased a Asus P7P55D-E LX motherboard (P55 Chipset) with a Xeon x3450 CPU. I currently have 16GB of 1600MHZ DDR3 from my old system but sore on my local market place that i could get 32GB of ECC DDR3 for under $40 US (i could easily sell my current RAM for double that here) and woundered if with the Xeon installed i could Run ECC and if i could would there be issues involved and or would it have to be un-buffered or registered dimms? Another factor if ECC where to work with this combo is weather it would be better to purchase 2x 16GB dimms or 4x 8GB dimms as they go for about the same price. is there any performance to be gained either way (duel chanel CPU and board) Does any one have any knowledge in this area that could help me out?
