  1. For reference, I am using an Acer Predator X34.
  2. Right now seems like a great time to potentially move up to a 3070-3080-3090 or even one of the AMD cards. I am a streamer and I play all sorts of games, so I can't be too specific on that.
  3. Hmmm. I will definitely look at this and see what he thinks.
  4. Budget (including currency): $400 US Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Neverwinter, Destiny 2, light gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My buddy can get a 980 for free from someone, so he doesn't need a graphics card. He doesn't need peripherals. He may need Windows. 1080p @ 60fps would be best
  5. Just looking to answer the subject question. I plan on OCing my 3700x, the RAM(probably, as Ryzen are heavily dependent on RAM), and my Titan X Maxwell. I don't plan on upgrading past the 3700x for the AM4 platform. I am running a Corsair H150i 360mm. I have 32gb of 3200mhz Trident Z Royal Silver RAM. I have a SSD, an HDD, and I plan on either adding a larger HDD for game storage or an M.2 drive as a boot drive, eventually..maybe even both. Which of these will be best for me? I can't afford something more expensive at the moment, and may upgrade the motherboard later down the road, but see no point, if not upgrading the CPU. Thanks in advance, friends.
  6. I'm running a 3570k and can play almost everything with a Titan X Maxwell gpu. I am about to upgrade to a 3700x, but maybe I can assist you in getting the most out of your 3570k.
  7. Not sure if this should go here or classifieds, but I'm trying to get some prices to sell these parts to a buddy, and I'd like a fair price for both of us. Individual part prices would be great, but he's interested in everything and wants an individual RAM price so he can possibly get a better deal on that. Any help would be most appreciated. I have available: CPU- i5-3570k Mobo- asrock extreme4 z77 mobo RAM- 2x8gb hyperx ddr3 ram not sure of speed Cooler- coolermaster hyper 212 Case- coolermaster haf 912 GPU- gtx 670
  8. Better than... there aren't any boards in that range that can handle what I'm looking to do? I'd also be willing to skip the m.2, I just didn't want the hassle of more wires... lol
  9. I'll probably stick with the 3700x for a good while. I've had my 3570k for about 6 years, so I make things last... lol. I've got an ssd and a HDD. An aio and a fan controller... I'd like at least one m.2 slot for a future upgrade... I'm not confident in your confidence lol
  10. Here's the deal. I've got a 3700x coming once it's back in stock later this month. It's a gift. I've got 32gb of trident z royal silver RAM @ 3200mhz sitting in my desk drawer to run with it. Now I need the best motherboard I can get for 150-200 dollars with decent power delivery and can do some decent overclocking. What're y'all's suggestions? Thanks!
  11. Won it from a fellow streamer lol. No real "budget." If I can sell the titan, then it'll be anywhere from 600-800.
  12. Which of those would be best value to performance increase?
  13. Probably upgrading to a 3700x/3900x. Just wondering if upgrading the GPU is a good idea and what would be a pretty good upgrade over it. Preferably something with NVENC, as I stream.
  14. So I've got a Titan X Maxwell, which is great because it was free and it was a huge upgrade over my GTX 670. However, I think it may be time to upgrade. It runs very hot and is a blower style card. Where should I go with it?
  15. Mobo is in the S tier, so I figured it'd be a good choice. The 5tb is to add to my current ssd and HD for game storage. I already have the 750w.
  16. I'm expecting to come into the money to upgrade the pc in my signature. Since I know I have retail version of Windows and won't have to get a new copy and can just reuse my SSD/HDD and get more storage, this is what I have put together. Let me know if/what to change. 17. Just checked and it's retail. I didn't even realize that OEM meant that it was most likely installed on a prebuilt. I bought the copy of windows 7 when I first built this pc back in 2013.
  18. If you had a choice between the 3700x and the 3900x, which would you choose?
  19. I'll have to see if I still have the windows key somewhere. I may just have to get a new copy.
  20. It's not upgrading the OS, it's the hardware. I heard somewhere that the OS gets attached to the hardware and you may have to get a new OS when upgrading the ram/mobo/cpu.
