  1. Also as I stated originally, the driver is the problem because it throws the error "custom resolution not supported" due to probably the missing default settings which were filled in in the previous driver.
  2. It was in advanced display settings AFTER I set the custom resolution in the radeon settings. The display's max refresh rate is 60Hz thus I couldn't set it to 75Hz in advanced display settings without creating the custom resolution, just as I can't set it now either.
  3. I was running 1080p 75Hz through HDMI for the past 4 month without any problems. I know it was working because I could choose 75Hz screen refresh rate in advanced display settings. I only want to get that same refresh rate back again. I'll try rolling back when I get home
  4. I don't have Display ports on my displays. Also that still doesn't explain why I could create custom resolution settings in the earlier version of the driver
  5. Hi, I'm trying to set a custom refresh rate for one of my displays, but I get the error message "the resolution is not supported". I think the problem is that when I click the create custom resolution button in the settings, the custom settings are not filled in like they were with the older driver where I only had to change the refresh rate. Adrenaline driver version is 19.2.2 My specs: Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming Ryzen 5 2600X G.Skill Trident Z 2x8Gb DDR4 3000MHz Asus Strix R9 390X
  6. well yeah the 8350 came out 6-7 years ago so it is time for an upgrade. I'm thinking about the higher end of ryzen, not threadripper, but some r7. Maybe I'll wait for the ryzen 2
  7. I only have problems on some of the maps, but when I do have problems, my fps drops from 70-80 to 30
  8. I'm thinking about an rtx 2070 if it comes to GPU upgrade, but I don't wan't to spend on GPU if it's not that necessary, especially because it's much more expensive here than in the US
  9. Thanks for the help. I'm running a 2 monitor setup, both 1080p, main monitor on 75Hz and the secondary on 60Hz. I'd be satisfied with mid-high settings in newer games.
  10. That's the reason I'm upgrading the CPU, and hence the question if I need to do the same with the GPU
  11. actually it's clocked at 4.6GHz. And for example in Battlefield V multiplayer, I have massive cpu spikes and low gpu usage whatsoever. I know in that case it's netcode issue, but still I have to upgrade sooner or later. Maybe I'll wait for the ryzen 2
  12. Hi, I'm planning a CPU upgrade, my fx 8350 just can't really keep up with today's games even when it's overclocked a bit. I was wondering if I should also upgrade my R9 390x to bear with newer games or it'll do just fine next to a ryzen 7 2700x for example.
