  1. @alatron978 How exactly do I change that? Should it be in the BIOS? Just like the frequency and the voltage?
  2. @alatron978 I'm new to all this overclocking stuff so I have a few questions: What do you mean by timings? and do I still have to test the stable capacity?
  3. @martward yes, I am from the phillipines. I'm surprised by the fact that the term is only used in the Phillipines, but anyways, by True-Rated PSUs are basically the ones that have the ratings (gold, silver, and bronze) and generic PSUs are ones that aren't rated, so you won't know if they are bad or average, or anything. Basically, you won't know the PSU's potential if you use generic PSUs.
  4. @dgsddfgdfhgs no but they will be all bought new.
  5. Note: First gaming pc. Doesn't mind a PC without RGB. On a budget. So, I'm gonna get the ff. pc on around april and I'm wondering if what I can do to fully utilize this machine to it's full potential: Processor: Ryzen 3 2200G Motherboard: Gigabyte A320M-S2H RAM: DDR4 Team Elite Plus 1x8gb 2400MHz with Heat-Spreader PSU: Generic ATX PSU 700watts Things I want to do: 1. Overclock the RAM - So first of all I won't overclock the cpu YET because of the board, as I am not sure if it's at least 90% safe (me and the machine) because I just recently heard of overclocking with am3 boards. Anyways what I want to ask about the RAM is that what the maximum frequency I could overclock it to is, it has a heat spreader so can I overclock it to 2933MHz like other builds? Or should I just stick with 2600MHz, or like just a little more? 2. Add a GTX (either 1050, 1050TI, 1060, or 1060TI, not sure which to buy yet, depends on what I'll find) in a few months, and a True Rated PSU. - I'm pretty sure the Generic PSU won't cut it and I need to get a true rated one, so can I go away with a Seasonic PSU (Silver or Gold) with 500watts? Or which should I get? I found a lot of Seasonic Gold/Silver PSUs in the Facebook Marketplace reaching from 500w to 700w. 3. Get a better motherboard (am4) and overclock the Ryzen 3 2200G's APU and CPU- Like earlier I said that I won't overclock the cpu YET because of the board, so what BUDGET boards have the features of the Gigabyte A320M-S2H but are am4 so that I can overclock both the CPU and APU of the Ryzen 3 2200G? 4. If there are any other things I could do to get better performance with the current specs, please say them. Thanks!

    Need a little help!

Can't really take a loss since I'm saving up for a lot of stuff right now so I guess I'll just not. Thanks for everyone for the help!

He said that it broke after a BIOS update. Does that minimize the problem a little more so I could know what I'm dealing with?

    Okay, thanks!

What do I do after I build my PC.

This is really good to use to get you started on your needed apps. https://ninite.com/ It installs all the applications you want to download (e.g. Chrome, Java, etc.) in one installer.

Also! He sent a video of what he said the problem looked like! Here's the link!
  11. So I have 160$ and someone here on the facebook marketplace is selling this "broken" gaming laptop for 100 bucks. So the laptop is a lenovo with what it seems I think to be a simple issue. It boots for 3 seconds, gets stuck in lenovo logo then turns off, then turns on again and repeats. Seems it isn't worth it but here's the specs: It's a Lenovo y410p. It has a 4th generation Intel i7-4700MQ, (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB) Nvidia GeForce GT 755M (2GB) 8GB DDR3L SDRAM A 1TB 5400 RPM Hard Drive. Good enough battery life. And my favorite OS, Windows 8.1 (I don't like 7 and 10 and the rest. And anything apple.) Do you think there's a way that I could be getting a good deal out of this if I can probably fix it for 60$? Doesn't seem like a much daunting task but you guys are the awesomesauce so I really need opinion. Thanks and have a good day!
