Hey thanks for the verification also you refer to the bios however I cannot change anything in my bios. My bios is the Aptio American Megatrends one and it has no options for XMP or ram speed modification. I see people with all these different more intricate bios-es in which they can monitor and change a bunch of stuff. How do I change my XMP profile in the American Megatrends BIOS?

I have 8gb ram currently in my desktop and I want to to buy another 8gb stick to make it run in dual channel since my ram has been maxing out a lot in games. I can't buy the exact same model because it's ram from Dell and they are charging $110 for one 8gb stick which is bs. So what do I have to make sure my other ram stick has so that it can run dual channel with my current ram? So basically I have one stick of 8gb ram running single channel on a z270 motherboard. I want to buy another 8gb stick so that they can run dual channel at 16 GB.
