  1. Try unplugging any unnecessary USB devices (or unplug all of them). Remove all PCI * devices too, and turn your PC on. Check if you get some display.
  2. Here's a registry entry for a fix I found online. It might work. A file is attached in this comment below. 1. Download the .reg file. 2. Opening the file gives you a prompt. Click Yes on subsequent dialogs and Click OK in the last dialog. 3. Restart your system. Attachment: AccessGraphicsHardwareFix.reg
  3. As @Jurrunio said, it could be the virus scan in the background. 1. Open Windows Security. 2. Go to Virus & threat protection. 3. Click and Quick scan and immediately click Cancel. 4. Check the performance tab on Task Manager to see if the % goes down. Edit: Alternatively, you can disable some background apps. 1. Press Windows key+I. Go to Privacy. Scroll down and select Background apps. 2. Disable the unwanted apps. To disable unwanted applications at startup: 1. Open Task Manager. Open the Start-up tab. 2. Disable the unwanted apps.
  4. I seriously would recommend you to contact the seller and check if they can cover it within the warranty period. In case of sending it off, I wouldn't. I would find a local PC repair shop, and ask the charges for replacing the HDMI port. If it's under $10 dollars (or somwhere in the range), I would give it for repair. Otherwise, like others said, I'd buy DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.
  5. 1) You'd need to type "about:support" in the address bar and open it. 2) Under Application Basics > Profile Folder, click the Open Folder button. This would open a folder where your Firefox profile data is managed. 3) Look for extensions folder and open it. 4) If there is any folder inside it (usually named "staged"), delete it. Delete these two files, if they exist: support@lastpass.com.xpi hotspot-shield@anchorfree.com.xpi NOTE: Before deleting any of the files/folders, close all instances of Firefox. 5) Choose either one of the following. 5.a ) Manual installation Download LastPass and Hotspot Shield addon files from the attachment. Copy both of the downloaded files to the same extensions folder. Start Firefox. It might warn you about enabling the extensions. Click the menu button (shaped like this ≡, on the top tight corner), click on each addon and enable them when you're prompted. 5.b ) Normal installation Install the extensions online, like you normally do. It would be installed correctly. [Attachment] hotspot-shield@anchorfree.com.xpi support@lastpass.com.xpi
  6. @Chrismage, you may want to upgrade your router's security for that. Pretty much the 101 mentioned below: Open a browser and visit your router's IP address. If you're unsure about what IP you've to go to, visit this link and open the Router Private IP. Once opened, it would ask for your username and password. No idea what that is? Take a look at your router's manufacturer and model number and google something like "default password for <ROUTER MODEL HERE>" (Routers or the boxes they come in have a sticker mentioning the default username and password, sometimes) Once you've successfully logged in, you'd be in router's settings. Under WLAN settings, look for WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) and disable it. Under Encryption mode, select the best one available for you. It'd probably be WPA2 (AES). Under network users/administrators, look for registered accounts. Register one or more accounts with root priviledge (because accidents happen). If you see unknown accounts, remove them. Also, change the default account's password that you googled in step 1. Okay, the main thing now- save your changes. Restart your router. Here's a LTT video about it if you prefer it:
  7. I don't think so. I have updated the .reg file above. Download it and follow the instructions the same as before. It probably won't work, though. The other common solutions are below. 1) Open the driver installer. After the license agreement, it would ask you for an install option. Select the custom one, click next and check the Perform clean installation option on the next page. Proceed as normally do. 2) Try this instead (if you want to do it manually). Open Device Manager. (Shortcut: Windows key+X, press M) Under Display adaptors, you would see your graphics card listed. (Double click on Display adaptors to show the list) Right click on your card's name and select Uninstall device. A prompt would show up. Check the Delete the driver software for this device, and click Uninstall. Restart on completion, and then install the Nvidia drivers. Restart, again. Breathe normally. 3) If everything fails, I would advise a fresh installation of the drivers after using DDU to completely remove any old drivers. (Download link and Tutorial for DDU)
