  1. That makes sense.. Thanks a lot for your inputs.
  2. They don't have any xeon available. Their lowest i7 is INTEL CORE I7 4770 3.4GHz LGA1150 HASWELL. For the motherboard its Gigabyte G.1 Sniper M5 I thought that blue on green would look awkward too so they offered me an alternative: Corsair Vengeance™ Pro DDR3 1600 16GB 8GBx2kit CL9 w/Black Heat Spreader For the cooler, yes I'm planning to OC a bit, they have the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 and NH-D14 as alternatives. For the PSU, they have - Seasonic G-550 GOLD Modular PSU - Aerocool Imperator 650W PSU - HEC COUGAR 600W - CM Elite V2 500W So to recap, here are my options: CPU: - Core i7-4790 - Core i7 4770 3.4GHz LGA1150 HASWELL MOTHERBOARD: - Gigabyte G.1 Sniper M5 RAM: - G.Skill 2x8gb 1600 CL9. 4. Will brushes give static which may endanger some parts of our mech keyboards? Wish Ducky will have some lifted key versions.
  5. Mine is lifted also but it has borders so if I spray it with a canned air dust and debris will just settle on the edge. Popping keys is pretty tiresome but it does the job. Thanks!
  6. I have a ducky shine 3 and it's starting to collect dust. Do you just take out all the keys and sweep the board or do you use a duster can? I found a cheap duster can here: http://www.cdrking.com/index.php?mod=products&type=view&sid=6513&main=13#.U1opEVWSz_w It's from a not so trusted brand but I figured out brands won't be a problem since its just a duster.
  7. I couldn't find a decent shop that lists all their products at least on our area. I ended up buying ATH SJ-11 as it is cheap and readily available. So far it has good sound quality and decent noise reduction. I needed a decent headset asap as I will be going out on a practice tonight for a tournament this coming Saturday. I also found out that it is my speaker having problems as I can still experience the sudden crackle noise but is not more frequent now. And not to mention the sudden drop on volume which fixes itself after a few seconds.
  8. I'm from Davao City Philippines, so access to much more premium headphones is pretty hard and expensive. For the budget I would say $100-$150. Im not an audiophile so I dont know much about preferences. I had some crappy headsets before like the Roccat Kulo but I could not bear to wear it for more than 15 minutes, it hurts my ears and it's not breathable so I end up wiping my sweat all over the ear cups. Probably the material or the physique of my ears. I have small ears though. Well that's a great way to sum it all up. Thanks!
  9. Well that makes sense. Thanks! I think we're the same. But I have to get proper opinion as my current audio setup needs fixing. And I would prefer to get a new pair rather than fix it so before I spend some money I would like to be smart and have some research and get some opinions first. Yes that makes sense now. My audio setup is at least 5 years old already so I think fixing it will just cost me more. Thank you for the detailed specification. I'm planning to build a new rig so I would like to get some advice if getting high quality sound card is worth it (if you have some suggestions on what brand or type please do give some). I usually need the audio for gaming whereas I need where the footsteps are coming, then some occasional music tripping.
  10. Which is better, get a good quality headset/in-ear with just using onboard audio cards, or get a high quality sound card and just use an average to low rated headset/in-ear? What I'm trying to understand is if there is a big difference or will it cause some bottleneck, like if I use a good quality headset but my sound card is crappy then would I not get the best out of my good quality headset? My current setup is I'm plugin my in-ear phones via an Altec Lansing speaker system which is plugged in directly on an onboard sound card. And I'm experiencing some cracking noise when I move my head or the wiring moves.
  11. OT: I accidentally pressed something and it got the WASD and arrow keys lit up. How do I disable them? --- Got the answer. It's gamer mode. FN + F11 (WASD) and FN + F12 (Arrow Keys)
  12. I work at home and I have 2 (two) Full Time jobs, aside from some project based contracts. Thus the 10-15 hrs spent on the PC. I usually do gaming in between for a breather. Good suggestion. Thanks man! Unfortunately in my place there isn't much after market support that I can get since we only purchase these high end stuffs through a gray market. But I think Ducky's build quality is reliable so I think I wouldn't have to worry much now. Good point though. It's also dusty in my place so ESD has higher probability. The plastic cover from the Ducky packaging may come into good use.
  13. Got a Ducky S3 for my birthday.
  14. I got a Ducky Shine 3 for my birthday and it is AWESOME! It has some really bright led lights and I was wondering would it be OK if I turn on the lights all the time. I use the PC most of the day (about 10-15 hours, work and play), and I'm thinking it would wear down the lights faster. Will turning the lights to low settings help? Or I'm just overthinking because I don't want to ruin my precious Ducky. Thanks!
