  1. I am trying to avoid reinstalling Windows. The ethernet jack randomly decided to not recognize their is a network cable plugged into it. That's why I am trying to update it's driver.
  2. I have a MS-7613 Ver 1.1 motherboard I am trying to find an ethernet driver for and possibly a newer bios. Does anybody know a reputable site that has drivers for old hardware? I found this site, but I am skeptical: http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/driver-for-motherboard-download-lan-ethernet-drivers-ms-7613/
  3. I am running an AMD 295x2 and 2 R9 FuryX's in my system. They are on a MS-7613 Ver 1.1 motherboard with an i5 760 and 4 GB of dual channel memory. I am trying to find out if I can get a newer bios for the motherboard. The computer will spontaneously blue screen and say, "THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER". The computer is running Windows 8.1 Pro. Does anybody know where I can get the current bios for this motherboard? I have found some sketchy looking sites that claim to have it, but I am hesitant to try them.
  4. I haven't tried installing a rom on my phone before. Do custom roms tend to have firmware that can drive dual cameras in the way they were intended to be used?
  5. I was thinking about getting the new Oneplus 5T, but this article (and others) are now leaving me on the fence. Apparently, Oneplus gathers data on you phone usage, some of which can be disabled in the advanced settings, others cannot. The real issue is the lack of anonymity while doing this. Hacker News claims to have a work around to disable data transmission. Oneplus also claims they will alter their data collection upon the public being aware of this. What I want to know is will this work? I don't have a Oneplus device to try this out on. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=15441430 https://www.tomsguide.com/us/oneplus-data-leak-fix,news-25968.html
  6. Haha, yes it was. I was double checking something on the motherboard and I copied that url instead. It has been updated.
  7. Hi, I'm building a new pc for my parents. They don't do anything crazy. They primarily use the current pc for watching Netflix, looking things up on the internet, and things like that. I know this is way overkill, but this is meant to last them a while. Their budget is $700. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
  8. KOR-FX came out with a vest that is suppose to allow you to feel like you are in the game. It allows you to feel every bullet hit, explosion, and vehicle vibration. Does anybody know more about this or how well it works? Linus should definitely do a review on this!! http://korfx.com/products
  9. I saw both videos before I posted on the forum. I don't know how to wipe a hard drive. This was one of my questions. I don't have another copy of Windows to install onto the SSD. I would have tried this if I had one. If it's possible to deactivate one of your copies of windows and reuse it please let me know.
  10. I tried using Acronis 2014 while in Windows to do this (in an attempt to replicate what Linus did) but failed. Is it possible to do this without buying Acronis 2010?
  11. I tried this first and it didn't work because Linus was doing the opposite of what I am doing. His OS is already on the SSD. Mine is on my HHD which means I can't reformat it until I get my OS and files transferred to my SSD.
  12. When I initially was installing Windows 8 onto my new gaming rig I accidentally installed it onto my HHD and not my SSD. Is there a way of taking an image of my HHD, OS and all, and putting it onto my SSD? After doing that, how would I wipe the OS and files from my HHD? The goal is to have the SSD be my boot drive and the HHD be my storage drive. Thanks!
  13. Is it true that you can't install dream spark's free copy of Windows 8.1 unless the machine you want to install it on already has Windows or Mac OS already installed on it? I'm doing a new build and I want to be sure this isn't a problem.
