  1. Hey everyone, I have bought this PC for about a couple of weeks, all good and I'm happy, just that I noticed that during full load gaming, the GPU tends to get a bit above 70 degrees. Now, having made the switch from a laptop I get PTSD when I see temperatures above 70 degrees, because step by step, it tended to go up and up and reach 80 degrees on my previous laptop, and sometimes I was getting FPS drops, or temperature spikes which caused thermal throttling. Well at least I guess that's how it happened. Anyway, I just wanna know what I can do to lower the temperatures a little bit, or if it's normal for a RTX 3050 to reach such temperatures? Ideally I'd like to keep them under 70 degrees, constantly.
  2. For some reason I think the new BIOS update has kept the temps under control. Might be completely wrong, I’ll monitor and see what’s up, however still lagging when playing BF1 and there are lots of players around.
  3. I downloaded it off Asus website, mate. But nevermind since Windows have automatically updated my BIOS somehow lol.
  4. Windows have automatically updated today my BIOS to 313 lol............ but yeah I've been doing exactly like you said just that it doesn't show anything other than what I said in the above post.
  5. Yes I did, had the Quick Format checkbox on if that makes any difference.
  6. I tried doing that and here I get only the first one, fs0:\. No idea why. So I can't even update the BIOS tbh.
  7. Because I can't? I repasted my laptop, I use a basic cooler, and I still get thermal throttling. The laptop is absolutely awful designed and Asus doesn't give a rats ass about it.
  8. What you mean why? Why do you think people are undervolting their laptops anyway? Cause the temps are terrible and it's making this machine thermal throttle which means terrible output in terms of FPS during gaming.
  9. I think an older BIOS version is available, but like I said, I have no idea how to install that one, or if it'll let me "downgrade". https://www.asus.com/supportonly/ASUS TUF GAMING FX504/HelpDesk_BIOS/
  10. Hey, I have learned that with the most recent BIOS update, Intel have disabled the opportunity to undervolt some processors, which mine is included (i7-8750H) and without undervolting, the temps are terrible and I'm constantly going in thermal throttling. Is there a possibility to downgrade to an older BIOS version that doesn't have this stupid update? If yes, how can I do it? I'm utterly inexperienced in this field so I would need step by step instructions to avoid messing things up.
  11. I have to bump this thread as I have exactly the same problem, on an Asus TUF FX504GM.
  12. So do you have any ideas what I can do? Currently my GPU sits at 83-84 degrees during gaming and I feel I could drop it below 80 degrees with undervolting. My GPU used to be around the same temperature as my CPU which was around 77-78 degrees.
  13. I tried Googling what the issue might be but didn't find any solution. Basically when pressing Ctrl + F in MSI Afterburner it should open that graph needed to undervolt just that in my case nothing happens. It worked before and out of blue it stopped working. I have unlocked voltage control from Settings but still nothing. My GPU is GTX 1060 3GB (it's a laptop version).
