  1. Hey guys, Can you share your GPU settings for maximum gaming (clock, fan curves, etc), and also your gaming rig? My setup: MOB: ROG Maximus X Hero CPU: i7 8700k (running at 4.6MHz) GPU: Strix 1080ti OC Cooler: Kraken X62 RAM: RipJaws DDR4 2400 CL14 PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 750W Gold
  2. Well, that's what I've noticed so far. At the end of the day, i'm just trying to get a custom setup either for GPU Tweak or Afternburner, if it'll have better performance. I'm not used to Afterburner, so it'll be great if I could get a good setup recommendation.
  3. Hey guys, Let me go straight to the point - MSI Afterburner or GPU Tweak II? I've been using GPU Tweak and setting their Gaming profile as default. However, I feel that I can get a better performance with some tweaks, or just by moving to Afterburner with some custom profile? My Setup: MOB: ROG Maximus X Hero CPU: i7 8700k (running at 4.6MHz) GPU: Strix 1080ti OC (Gaming Profile from GPU Tweak II) Cooler: Kraken X62 RAM: RipJaws DDR4 2400 CL14 2x8gb (Yes, I know...) PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 750W Gold
  4. Hey guys, I wanted to know your thoughts on either I should overlock my CPU. My main goal with this desktop is gaming, and having performance/FPS as stable possible. I don't usually play games that require a lot of resources, and the games I play I usually decrease the settings to increase the performance and keep the FPS stable, the reason is I play competitive online games, no single player. Here's my setup: i7 8700k ROG Maximus X Hero Strix 1080ti OC 16gb Ripjaws 2400hz CL 15 (I'm planning to upgrade this to the Trident Z's CL 3200mhz CL14) NZXT Kraken X62 Fractal R2 Design (3 Fans) I've never did an overclock, and honestly I don't feel the need to do it, but on the other hand I was wondering if it could increase the overall gaming performance. I appreciate your time. Cheers and stay safe!
  5. Hey guys, I was wondering if there's any conflict if I have both MSI Afterburner and GPU Tweak II installed. I'd like to have the temps and fps in-game and I can only do that with MSI Afterburner. I have a ROG Strix GTX 1080ti Cheers!
  6. Is there a recommended stress software to test it?
  7. What's the safe temp interval? I have the Corsair h115i - I don't know if that's an issue from Corsair's software but I've been seeing spikes on the temps, it looks like unstable temps, I don't know if this is something common or if something wrong with my setup...
  8. You're right, that's what people tell me. Here's the thing, I use this desktop just for gaming, and I run everything on 1080p with no issues at all. Why should I do the overclock? You might be wondering - so why did he bought this processor? Well, it was basically research on the market as I wanted to build a high-end build. With that said, I'm a bit afraid of doing it by myself without the proper knowledge.
  9. Well, to be honest, I've been seeing some videos and it seems that people enable it by default. So I was wondering if it was a go-to setting. It seems that I shouldn't do anything. ?
  10. Hey guys, I'm new here and I didn't find any related thread so I'm sorry if it's being duplicated. I've been searching about some BIOS settings to improve stability and performance, and I keep noticing people saying to enable XMP. Should I do it? The second questions is: I've contacted Asus to know if I should update the BIOS driver to the latest release (as my current version is the first release), and they said that if I'm not experiencing any issues, then it won't make any difference. With that said I'm confusing af. Motherboard: Strix z-370-E CPU: i7 8700k RAM: G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4-2400MHZ CL15 I appreciate your help and understanding! Cheers!
