  1. When I take a look at the list on hardwareluxx as well as b-die finder I find some types with unmatching timings like 16-18-18-38 (similar to the one I considered buying) being samsung b-die and on the other hand I find Hynix modules with matching timings like 15-15-15-35 so I don't see how these latency timings indicate what type of module it is. F4-3466C16Q-64GTZKK with timings 16-18-18-38 is said to have samsung b-die modules, which seems identical to the 128GB kit I'm looking at besides having 4 instead of 8 modules. Here's a newegg listing of 3466 memory with 16-18-18-38 timings and a review mentioning it to have b-die: https://www.newegg.com/global/nl-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232578
  2. Could not find any intel on this specific ram kit: https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3466c16q2-128gtzkk Sources I've checked: https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/ https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/f13/die-ultimative-hardwareluxx-samsung-8gb-b-die-liste-alle-hersteller-05-04-19-a-1161530.html#lstH.B https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/62vp2g/clearing_up_any_samsung_bdie_confusion_eg_on/
  3. Thank you, makes a bit more sense now
  4. Thanks... That's what someone in the reviews said, "2-6°C increase to stock temps", which seems like a big impact
  5. Hi, I was going to get these, but according to reviews on this page https://www.amazon.co.uk/Phanteks-PH-FF140RGBP_BK01-PH-FF140RGBP_BK01-140MM-RAHM/dp/B074Q4Y16V they malfunction as they block the airflow. I couldn't find any more information about this besides these reviews, so im wondering if anyone has experience with them and could confirm whether they work well or not. I was planning to use them on be quiet! Silent Wings 3 High Speed PWM fans both 140 and 120mm if that makes any difference. Thank you
  6. How about this one: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-RAMPAGE-VI-EXTREME-OMEGA/ Looks very promising besides the fact that it probably won't fit in my 570X Crystal case
  7. LGA 3647 Socket... considering the fact I practically own the 7980XE unless it turns out to be broken or something, I should probably stick with that
  8. I see now that's right sorry, had the filter set on 8 memory slots
  9. The MEG is for X399,, it's gonna be programming, VMs and some video editting, but I find overclocking performance most important though has to have 8 DDR4 slots instead of the 4 like I see on the EVGA Dark.. which I thought would otherwise be a great choice
  10. Price doesn't matter for this component I want to leave the possibility open to overclock it to high levels, also may delid the processor in the future
  11. Hi,, I'm about to receive the i9-7980XE. Which motherboard do you recommend for overclocking this processor?
  12. That could be the truth But it's starting to look like the 7980XE will be my valentine this year Crossing fingers for him to arrive at my doorstep safe and well
  13. Keeps remaining a tough decision... about to settle with the 7980XE for now, planning to delid it myself or otherwise make use of a delid service (not decided upon yet) thanks though -- out of curiosity, what do you think of the 9940X?
