  1. The two HDDs I have linked below have different RPM speeds but have the same 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s. Would a faster HDD die faster? Is it more rigged to vibrations? The faster a disk spins the faster it is to get the data, even if they are the same output. I want to record to an HDD for videos, edit from them, and possibly have it in a Raid on my PC that would get turned on and off. https://www.newegg.com/black-wd8002fzwx-8tb/p/N82E16822234500?Item=N82E16822234500 https://www.newegg.com/blue-wd80eazz-8tb/p/N82E16822234496?Item=N82E16822234496
  2. I have not gone into the bios yet. What is MBR and SCM? Small update: I have tried switching the bios switch back to the default position, and I was able to boot to the windows has a problem screen. Frankly, I don't know what's wrong, or how to fix this.
  3. I didn't set anything up like that. No, I have not tried to remove the battery ever.
  4. My Windows 10 PC was updated last night when shutting down. I couldn't start it up this morning and was getting error code 00 on my MSI X299 motherboard so it wasn't booting into the bios. So I switched the bios to the backup bios and then I couldn't boot Windows. So I tried to fix Windows with a Windows USB drive created by the Media Creation Tool 22H2 from Microsoft. I couldn't uninstall updates or make repairs, and I couldn't install Windows because it says Windows is still there. Is my Windows installation Toasted, and I guess my unbackedup files are gone too.
  5. I live in Kansas, near Wichita. I have made the part list public.
  6. This is my current PC part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ElectricGeckos/saved/#view=n8Y74D I have been rocking my GTX 1060 6 GB graphics card for a while now. I want to play some more eye candy games that I have saved up on Steam in my library. Right now my PC gets an average of 30fps low, 45fps, and 60fps high on games like COD, Overwatch, and Halo Infinite at 1080p on my 1440p screen. The main reason I want to start playing my collection of story games is that all of my multiplayer games get 500 ping or more. I just lag when playing, my internet provider is bad. What are some cards I should be looking at? I also think nearly every card I could look at could be an upgrade from my 2017 card, and my main focus I think I should be looking at is how much ram the card has. I was thinking an Intel Arc 770? or an RX 7000 or 6000(I do not know Amd cards, their naming scheme confuses me), and or an RTX 3080? Or should I wait till graphics cards come more down because the prices are still inflated right?
  7. Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, I configured it on HP's website and it won't be able to ship till 10/06/2021, so still looking around.
  8. I would like some help with a new two in one laptop replacement, giving my old gaming laptop to my younger brother. I don't need a laptop to play games on, I have a decent desktop already for that, but not opposed if I need one to run some programs. I am searching for a two in one laptop with a stylus, and can run AutoDesk Fusion or SolidWorks, and Visual Studio. I don't know what specifications to look out for besides ram (16GB?) and I don't know how good of a cpu I would need. My budget is to stay under $1200 USD. Shooting in the dark, so far I have found these laptops: 1. 9. I am thinking about picking up a Windows Surface Pro 7 or a similar laptop for my college course work. I'm just wanting something with a sturdy keyboard and can be used as a tablet. Either the keyboard needs to detach or fold under it. I will not run games on it, but could run some demanding programs. Also, needs to be Windows 10. Any Recommendations that would be in the same price range of a surface pro 7 with it's keyboard? Or off brand keyboards and pen to save some money. Thanks.
  10. I have Corsairs iCue software installed on my PC for my K95 RGB Platinum keyboard, and my Vengeance RGB Pro Ram. I want to set up the lights on them to turn green, white, and then orange, and then restart. How do I do this? Is there a better way to do this with another program? Thanks.
  11. But it won't find my network for some reason. Yeah, will do some googling to find that out.

  13. So I have two options? One just use a less secured WPA? And option two is to upgrade the wifi cards in them?
  14. I have two MSI laptops that can't connect to my new router. All of our other devices can connect to the new router fine. Also the laptops connect to my old router fine. Netgear Wifi Router: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XW27XMR/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 My old router: https://www.newegg.com/p/0XK-001B-00152?item=9SIAFSW8PJ3148&source=region&nm_mc=knc-googlemkp-pc&cm_mmc=knc-googlemkp-pc-_-pla-sanyway-_-network+-+routers+%2f+remote-_-9SIAFSW8PJ3148&gclid=Cj0KCQiAm4TyBRDgARIsAOU75srBXNDykVPByPxz7y1e7XY9IE4KEBbA3qDx_pl_XxdV7X0xK9xuSe8aAscsEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Laptop MSI CX61 2QC-1654US: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16834152777 And the second laptop is a slightly older generation of the MSI CX61 2QC-1654US. I have updated the PC's Drivers, and have been on Netgears Support. Netgear told me to disable the routers AX feature and it still couldn't connect to my laptop. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Do I need to upgrade there cards in the laptops or something?
  15. Well, I am running a 4k monitor and a small second monitor off of the video card. Then I also like to try to record snips of my gameplay some times.
