  1. SO after hours of on and off. Some reason after I disabled VMD. And had the original NVMe in without any other drives in it has worked and loaded into Windows. Now I am scared to plug in the second NVMe. Any precautions I should take?
  2. I mean I don't know what could have caused the motherboard to be fucked. I built the PC had it working and everything. Left it off for 2 months came back and its not working. I am currently making a new bootable device to do a fresh install of windows. I have even reset the BIOS settings.
  3. I built a new PC very recently, I took the proper precautions of installing new windows on a Samsung 990 evo. Meaning I only had 1 drive in the PC when installing windows and then I installed the second drive afterwards. Everything was working fine. I had the PC off for 2 months and now when I came back to it, it was not loading into windows at all. Sometimes my SSDs both show in the BIOS sometimes they don't. I tried to set both as the drive to boot with and every time I get a blue screen. I have also tried removing the disks where windows was not installed and I still get a blue screen saying bootable device inaccessible. Is there anything else I can do to fix this? I am also trying a fresh install with a USB boot stick and that is not working as well. Sometimes my motherboard doesn't even pick up the USB stick. Any solution to this?
  4. I had one more question about the build. I am looking to pair the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore with the 7000D case. However, the case has 4 USB 3.0 headers. Will this board support 4 USB 3.0 headers? Does it have 2 internal connectors for USB 3.0? I looked at the specs of the motherboard but not sure how to read it haha. Here is what I find relating to USB: USB 1 x USB 20Gbps connector (supports USB Type-C®) 2 x USB 5Gbps headers support additional 4 USB 5Gbps ports 2 x USB 2.0 headers support additional 4 USB 2.0 ports
  5. Any other recommendations for this build? 1) I am switching to the 2 NVMes only 2) I am switching the PSU to a more friendly one for the 4090s Anything else?
  6. When you say 2x2 you are saying 2 NVMe drives and when you say 3x3 you are saying 3 NVMe drives correct?
  7. Can you further explain about 2.2 M.2s? I have decided to go with the same NVMes but one will be 4TB and the other will be 2TB. So, instead of having 3 NVMes I will only have 4. I am assuming I skip the first NVMe slot and put it my NVMes in the other two?
  8. Can you further explain about the M.2s. I don't seem to quite understand. Furthermore, I have decided to only go with 2 NVMes. One will be the 4tb version of the ones I have in my build and the second will be a 2TB version. I keep reading that it is important to put these in the correct slots so you don't sacrifice performance.
  9. Firstly, before I start asking questions let me get some general things out of the way. I will be using this PC for gaming as well as machine learning and video editing. The price of the parts do not matter to me. I want the top of the line stuff that functions properly. I am not looking to overlock the CPU or the GPU but might in the future. Furthermore, I would like to run the fastest RAM possible that I can with stability. The only part I have so far is the RTX 4090 Strix. pcpartpicker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LVDk89 My questions are the following: Is the RAM I have selected a good choice for this motherboard/CPU pairing. I have read a lot online about QVL lists not being accurate. I want to go with Gskill because my old PC has been running with Gskill just fine. The speed I went with is 7200 CL36. I understand that it is a gamble due to what memory controller my CPU has but again I want to run the fastest speed possible with it being stable. Can I go higher can and get the Gskill 8000 CL40? My next question revolves around my M.2s. Will this motherboard support 3 Samsung 990 Pros without sacrificing speed and performance of my GPU due to the amount of PCI express lanes? Lastly, I am open to any recommendations or tips when it comes to making this build. Some things not included in the pcpartpicker list is the corsair fans I will be getting instead of the stock fans. Again I want to say price is not an issue for me so please try to avoid looking at price. I am looking for the top of the line products that will be stable for me.
  10. The last question can I disable turbo mode and still run my 4.7 overclock? Or do I have to keep turbo mode on
  11. yeah I will clean our the rad as well when I re-seat it. I was just hoping that it was something wrong with my settings not something physical.
  12. Sorry I can't turn it off right now in the middle of school work
