  1. So the price difference wouldn't justify the slight performance increase I guess. Also, from the RX 470, which would be a great GPU upgrade (budget friendly) for 1080p gaming to pair with the R5 3600?
  2. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Sounds like the R5 3600 should hold its place well for a few more years now!
  3. Budget (including currency): 70,000 Rupees ($1,000 USD) Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA Online, Watch Dogs, NFS, Test Drive, Assetto Corsa, F1 2020 and similar games. I'm a casual gamer, and just looking for the sweet spot for 1080p gaming Other details: I have just picked up an RX 470 (8GB) for 5,000 Rupees ($68 USD) since that is the hardest component to purchase right now. I will be using it until the markets stabilise and I can get a GTX 1660 Super or something similar. So this is the build list that I have currently finalised: Ryzen 5 3600 - 17,000 Rupees ($233 USD) MSI B550 Gaming Plus Motherboard - (13,500 Rupees ($185 USD) [I need a USB-C Front port since my case will be having one, hence the B550] I could bump up to a Ryzen 5 5600x if I scrape through and spend another 11,000 Rupees ($110 USD) and benchmarks say that its a way better CPU. Would it really make a difference considering I have an RX 470 and I probably would be stuck with it for a while since the GPU market is all haywire? Thanks for all the help in advance!
  4. I have considered buying it from eBay.com and having it shipped here to India, but it's an extremely risky thing to do, because most of the cards have a no return policy, so it's a big gamble paying for it and then having it not work at all, considering I'm on a tight budget I am still trying to find good cards with a 30 day return guarantee, just to be safer! Yeah the video thing is not a bad idea! Will keep an eye out for those mining cards!
  5. I'll try my best to reduce the price of the GTX 1060 6gb, at the same time see if I can work out something with the GTX 970, thanks a bunch man!
  6. Ah, I see, thanks! I have only found an RX 470 as of now
  7. Okay, so here's an update, I have found these on the used sites: Zotac GTX 1060 6gb AMP! for $192 USD MSI Gaming X RX 470 4GB for $200 USD ASUS Strix GTX 970 4GB OC for $168 USD Among these available options, which is a better bet for really good 1080p gaming? P.S. A huge thank you to everyone for their inputs so far!!! Really means a lot! :)
  8. Yes I'll keep a lookout for the RX570 and RX580! Are these a good choice over the GTX 1060 3gb?
  9. I did find a good RX580, thanks to one of the links given by the friendly guys here, I will look into that! I tried searching for the other cards, there was a GTX 970 for $160 USD, does that make sense?
  10. This is India, where prices are sky high and yes, the good RX cards are very high in comparison with Nvidia.. Yeah I was keen on the 1060 3GB but would it be any better since I'm limited to 1080p anyway? Would the 3gigs be enough?
  11. Thanks! How long would this card be able to handle 1080p games though?
  12. Thank you so much for the links! I will definitely check them out! Would there be any significant disadvantages going with AMD over Nvidia?
  13. It's a relative used pricing here in India, I just converted it to USD to make it a little easier to understand the pricing here
  14. They're much more expensive here unfortunately, $285 USD onwards.. a little too steep for me
  15. I live in India, yeah they're pretty ridiculous :/ Thats why I'm finding a hard time choosing a good 1080p GPU
