  1. I think it started happening after i rebuild my system in new case with a rtx 2060 super, like three months ago. But this gpu was in another pc and it worked just fine. About m.2 adapter, i have it for like two years, and it worked nice, without any problems About OCZ, i am pretty sure it is running latest driver for it, found it on forum. But also, like month ago, it started showing errors in windows logs, tried to turn it off in device manager and check games for freezes, nothing changed Hm, i will try turning off all audio outputs as soon as i will be at pc. It is a good guess, as new dialog line is a new audio “source”, maybe thats where shit happens I will check it, thank you!
  2. It was not showing up in device manager. Tried to set it off in bios, tested Fortnite with fully disabled HPET and it didnt fixed it. Now, turned it on in bios, and to enable it in Windows typed in command line bcdedit /set useplatformclock true. Same thing, stutters still there
  3. Tried to install The Stanley Parable from ssd 2 to ssd 1, and there is no stutters now But tried to reinstall Fortnite from ssd 2 to ssd 1, it helped just a little, but stutters still happening a lot, just unplayable...
  4. Hello! I have microstutters and freezes in almost all games, regardless of graphics settings. For example: The Stanley Parable, The Beginner's Guide, The invincible, GTA IV and especially Fortnite (so many microstutters, but fps is just fine). All of these games are not very demanding on hardware, and judging by the load displayed in MSI Afterburner, my pc is not even close to overload. Basically, these freezes occur when changing scenes or when changing lines of dialogue. For example in The Stanley Parable, the game runs smoothly if you walk around one room, but as soon as I move to the next location and the narrator starts saying a line of dialogue, I experience one microstutter. Then again the next location, a new line and again a single stutter. An interesting fact is that in the case of The Stanley Parable, if I hear the same dialog line in a second time, the freeze may not appear, as if it only works on new lines of dialogue. But after restarting the PC, again every dialogue causes a freeze. Maybe dialog line is sitting in something like cache, and pops out of there with no problem? But when it needs to be loaded directly from game directory, it lags? Also, sometimes, after restarting Windows, freezes are completely gone. Then another restart and they appear again. It is very exhausting trouble, that i just cant figure out. Can anyone help me with that? My system: CPU - i7 4960x Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Extreme (bios modified for nvme support) RAM - DDR3 HyperX Beast 2400MHz 4x8Gb (HX324C11T3K4/32) GPU - MSI RTX 2060 Super Armor OC Cooler - DeepCool AK620 SSD (Windows) - Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250Gb (via m.2 to pcie adapter) SSD (Games 1) - OCZ Revodrive 3 x2 240Gb SSD (Games 2) - Intel Sata SSD 480Gb HDD (Media files) - Seagate 4Tb OS - Windows 10 Pro What I tried to do: - Clean reinstallation of Windows and drivers - Reinstalling games - Update video card drivers - Disable and enable overclocking What i think is nice to try (i will do this in next couple days): - Install games on another ssd - Take out all drives and check with just one ssd - Testing with another Display - Trying another HDMI cable If you have any thoughts about what i can try to do, please, inform me
  5. I can change my cpu strap just in 100, 125 and 160, i cant manually choose cpu strap. But i can change bclk manually. About RAM. I think that i've tried everything to make it work. I tried to lower timings, increase DRAM voltage to 1.8, increase voltage of VTT and VCCSA. Tried literally everything to make it work at 2666 but it is not stable. Also tried 2333 but it just doesnt post. I will send you my settings today or tomorrow
  6. A stopped at 1.33 Vcore, 125 bclk and 36 multiplier, testing it out But RAM, i have only option of 2333 and 2666, there is no multiplier for RAM. Managed to post with 2666 and RAM voltage 1.73. But it is not stable, windows crashing after 2-5 minutes of occt stability test
  7. I am trying to overclock my CPU. It works with vcore 1.4, bclk 127.875 and multiplier 36 fine. But i have 4 questions. 1 - any difference between making cpu strap to 125 and just setting bclk to 125? 2 - my core temperatures looks good in OCCT stress test (around 77-81c). But my CPU package is at 87-90c. What i need to look at? 3 - can i lower idle temps? Or it is normal for CPU to be always on 4.6ish ghz even in idle? Idle temps is - package around 60, core around 45 4 - why i need to turn off the llc? Won't in help with stability? upd - after 20 minutes of stress test, it crashed
  8. Hello everyone. I have a Brother DCP-L2520DWR printer lying around. It was used a little before, it printed only 12,500 pages, but it fell off the table a couple of times without serious damage. I connected it, updated the firmware, there were problems with paper jams, I disassembled it, corrected all the rollers, improved contact with the rubber shafts and it began to print normally. But I discovered that when printing some bold text or a dark image, it will ghost. I read it on the Internet and decided to order a drum unit and a new toner. I installed it, the situation has improved a little, but the ghosting is still visible. Following advice on the Internet, I measured the distance from the image itself to its repetition - 78mm. The fuser roller is approximately this diameter. And the drum is 94mm The most interesting thing is that ghosting occurs only at the beginning of printing after idle time (the first 3 pages). It seems to me that when printer waking up from sleep mode, it does not have enough time to warm up the fuser roller. But i don't know for sure. Checked fuser roller and pressure roller for visible issues and it looks like there are no problems with them. Any ideas what i can do?
  9. Thanks, i will try that. There is only one problem, when I tried to achieve stable OC at 4.5, I used a voltage of 1.30-1.35, and it seemed to me that it was quite hot, about 85-95 degrees in stress test. And in idle 50-55
  10. Hello everyone I want to overclock my system, but I'm completely new to this. I would be very grateful if you could help me My system: CPU - i7 4960x Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Extreme RAM - DDR3 HyperX Beast 2400MHz 4x8Gb (HX324C11T3K4/32) GPU - MSI RTX 2060 Super Armor OC Cooler - DeepCool AK620 I looked at a couple of forum topics with my hardware on the Internet (there are not many of them) and applied the following parameters: BCLK - 100 CPU - 44 Vcore - 1.24 VCCSA - 1.15 CPU PLL Voltage - 1.80 CPU Spread Spectrum - Disabled PCI Spread Spectrum - Disabled CPU C States- Disabled Enhanced Intel SpeedStem Technology - Disabled Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor - Disabled Execute Disable Bit - Disabled Intel Virtualization Technology - Disabled DRAM Frequency - 2400MHz DRAM Timings - 11-13-13-32-2 DRAM Voltage - 1.65 GPU Power Limit - 105% GPU Core Clock - +100Mhz GPU Memory Clock - +750Mhz The system works stable and i felt an improve from the stock settings, but in some games there are freezes when changing scenes or lines of dialogue. For example Batman from TellTale Games, The Invincible. Fortnite lagging even on minimal settings (idk why). I want to overclock my system even more, especially RAM, because a cant figure out how to run it stable with increased frequency or decreased timings
  11. Changed my gpu for RTX 2060 Super, and it works in x16 with no problem. The issue was my old GTX 780Ti
  12. I checked MB manual, and it says that first pcie slot always get x16, even if there 4 GPUs. Also, tried to unplug everything, except GPU, no success
  13. Hmm, i will try switching to second bios, that is not modified. Yes, i am using pcie to m.2 adapter, with Samsung 970 Evo Plus. And yes, i tried without it, just unplugged all pcie cards, only GPU was connected
  14. Thank you with this advices for OC. I will try that. I am running these OC: CPU - 4.4Ghz, Vcore 1.24v (i tried 4.5Ghz with 1.35v, but it was not stable and temps were meh. I think i am comfortable with that) RAM - 2400Mhz, 1.65v, 10-12-11-24-1 (setting this timings was a random, just checked if it boots or not. I am newbie in OC. But really want to try it out). I can send you my BIOS OC params if you want to help
  15. I mostly play on PS5 now, and use PC quite rarely. It all started with the fact that my old water cooling became unusable. I also hated my old case, which was wildly noisy and annoying with its size. I replaced the cooling and case. Next I plan to change the GPU for something more... usable, and that’s probably all. When I’m ready, I’d rather build a new PC than update this one bit by bit. Now I just fixed things that were critical for me. Also, applied some overclock on CPU and RAM, and it feels much better
