  2. Hi so I just built my new pc about a week ago and when I started playing a game a noticed a very loud noise coming from the psu, kind of like a constant static noise, then I noticed that when I booted up the pc or left it idle it would make their weird noise off and on. I don’t have a video of in a game because I reset the pc trying to troubleshoot but I have the sound when the pc boots, I even tried two brand new psu’s and hear the same sound. Below is a video I took booting up the of of the sound. If you have any questions, or have ran into a similar problem please let me know. The sound will be heard more toward the second half of the video

    Question

Anyone know how to totally get rid of windows on a pc so I would have to reinstall via a usb flash drive? I’m having a problem and I want to try that out
  6. I would say it’s more of a static beeping when it’s idle, and then a loud kind of engine sound when in a game, much loader than coil whine.
  7. Alright so I’m sure most of you have had the experience of building your first custom built pc, and for 90% of you, you boot it up, download windows, download the drivers and off you go, 9.99% of you will run into a short little problem, maybe a cord wasn’t plugged in correctly, somthing like that, you look it up, fix it, and then off you go as well. Now I fall into that 0.01% group of people who have a problem that they cannot fix after physically trying everything from software resets to rebuilding the entire computer. My problem is I’m hearing a static beeping noise from the psu. I ever replaced it and still hear the noise. The three things I have found out so far are that the psu on its own does not make the noise, and when booted into the bios it does not make the noise, and when in a game (High load) the sound gets much loader. I’m running an i7 8700k, RTX 2070 8gbDDR6, 16 Gb ddr4 GSkill trident Z (2x 8gb), a gigabyte z370p d3 motherboard, a Corsair Cx 750m psu, and a WD blue 1tb hard drive. If you know what I should do please let me know, and if you have any questions that could lead us to a solution please ask. I’ve been working at this for a month, and just simply want to play games on this damn thing.
  8. Is there like a program that will just check all of it for me?
  9. I am hearing some strange noises from my psu so I just want to run a system check to make sure it isn’t degrading any of the parts, but I’m not sure how to do that so if you know how please let me know!
  10. Also what is smart data
  11. But the coil whine is coming from the psu
  12. Nope, no difference, gets very loud in games still, also I’m hearing a quiet grinding noise from the hard drive now, so the problems are just stacking up.
