thanks for the input lee32uk can you explain in laymans terms not sure what you mean as this is my first build with the cooler that was recommended will if fit inside with no issues due to height ? any other options for graphics card was looking at reviews on amazon a lot of issues and for $1300 don't want to risk it ? and any other options you can recommend for 4k monitors they were 399 but just checked and there 499 now ? i will probably opt to get 64 gb of ram and put them in from the beginning so i would just duplicate the same ram and there is enough slots ? again thank for your help

Thanks for the build info so don’t think I’ll opt for that much storage 3 tb in ssd would be a good start and maybe later add more. any reason not to water cool ? Would it be worth pushing ram to 64GB? may go a bit saucy with RGB in and out any options for adding that as a different build

Well don’t have any programs yet but it will be Adobe Premiere Pro CC not really sure on how much storage I’ll need but want it to be as fast as possible. No external storage or nas.

Ok hey guys so never built a pc but can handle putting this all together hopefully. I’m starting with with just a basic old laptop that is just used for surfing. want to get into 4K video editing and hi res photos. I’m not really a gamer but if the system is capable then maybe I may indulge but have no idea yet what games I would play i have a $5k budget which would hopefully include the complete build and 1 or possibly 2 monitors that would be 4K or whatever is needed, keyboard and mouse plus windows install i have a little give with the budget so if it goes over I can work with it i appreciate any help that you send my way thank in advance 1. Budget & Location $5000 to $6000 California 2. Aim 4K video editing high res photo editing / not a gamer but if the system allows possibly may play but really not sure on games 3. Monitors 4K or lower hopefully can will be able to fit 2 monitors in the budget 4. Peripherals Keyboard,mice, and windows install 5. Why are you upgrading? I have an old laptop and want a desktop with high end components and be as fast as the budget allows
