SuperUserDo got a reaction from Dioneyesos in Slow Samsung 860 evo
My final CrystalDiskMark Result
A lot closer to others just slower in 4k Q32T1. But overall I am pretty satisfied with it and happy?.

No problem, you're welcome. I like helping out!
I think the IRST is a good option, not slow, updated (also security) and a good compromise I think

Yeah you are right. Anyways both of these options are wayyy better than the 30K IOPS I was getting earlier and there is a difference that I felt between 30K and 67K. Not so much with 67K and 82K. So I am thinking of going with the IRST driver just for the added stability it might bring. Thanks @Dioneyesos for helping me out. I really do appreciate it. Anymore suggestions from anyone are welcome.

I would go with which ever feels faster. To me IOPS don't mean a lot. I just want everything to run smooth, stable and as fast as possible. And if that means running a driver from 2006, so be it ?
For battery life, I don't think you will notice the difference, if there is any at all

Check writeback cache. If its disabled, enable it, if it's enabled, disable it. See if that helps.
