are you asking if the drives are dead? because some of them are newer than others, they wouldn't have all died. I actually replaced one 2 months ago. I ran the HUU, still getting same error. It came after it ran the driver for the raid card. its so weird. when the sas cables are not in the card it boots fine but with no drives.

Sorry for the delay in response, been traveling. I wanted to give you an update on what I did. One of the PSU is dead, not sure why but its just not working anymore. the other one is fine. When I unplug the SAS cables from the raid card it works fine. I switched the raid card for an identical one but still had the same problem (no HDDs detected). I also plugged the SAS cables into the mobo and no drives were detected.

Writing Firewall rules for the Elgato Light

figured it out! I overthought it, it just needed a TCP rule and a ICMP rule. You were right, when I tried the ping I tried it from the firewall, I forgot to allow ping between light and PC. Many thanks ! -

Great idea, I Added another rule for 244.0.0.251 for 5353 coz I saw it reaching out to that too. MDNS Ok, so I feel like we're making progress. When I connect to the IoT wifi, and then disconnect it stays in the app, I can press it and it will turn the light on, one time I Was able to turn it on and off before it dissapers. So I know the communication is being made and achieved, however there's some check that happens after the button press which removes it from the interface. Thanks for the feedback -
Got the Deity S2 mic the other day, however I completely underestimated how loud my server is. While I'm trying to soundproof the room (which is a process), I am trying to create a temprorary solution. I have a focusrite scarlet and I have a roland VT-4. I use the VT-4 to transform my voice, however since the S2 is a shotgun mic it picks up all the background noise from the server and if you apply transformations to noise it sounds really bad. Firstly I'd connect the S2 mic to scarlet, scarlet over USB C to PC. I have found that NVIDIA Broadcast / RTX Voice makes my voice sound amazing even with all the background noise. My idea was to use voicemeter to port the sound NVidia broadcast processes to the output of the scarlet. Then plug 2x 1/4 into back of scarlet, and male XLR into VT-4. Then VT-4 over USB to PC. I know this sounds confusing, so I made a diagram. Ok, I will admit I don't know much about audio but I'm doing my best to piece everything together. Therefore if you know terminology that can help me on this journey, do share :) Also, can I cause damage by plugging in the audio interface to the transoformer?

Didn't have a chance to setup UPS, but the power went out and the server was turned off. Now one of teh power supplies has an error showing. For some reason after I turned back on it keeps saying: Discovery error has occurred, please power cycle the system and all the enclosures attached. I've power cycled it 10+ times, nothing changed. Also, when I turned it on for the first time it was saying that the second power supply was faulty or not working properly, and I thought that was the issue. After I removed it I got a good overall status but still the same error text. I'm open to ideas on how to solve this

Today I purchased an Elgato Key Light. I should prefice this by saying I have a home network with different VLANS, the two you should know about are the IoT and LAN. I should also mention I'm using pfsense as firewall. I took a PCAP of turning the light on and off a few times. Here's the firewall rule from LAN to elgato key light, at first I was trying port 80, but then I switched it to any just to see it if would work. I added a rule from the light on its subnet to any device on LAN I do have avahi enabled Looking for ideas on how to get this light working across VLANS. thanks

In one of the videos Linus is playing a VR game and the others are using gaming controllers and running away like little people. I don't remember the video or name but I just got VR and wanted to install it
