  1. not really and preference on display size, and nah non-upgradable rams fine, with that being said i would like this laptop to last me 5ish years.
  2. Hello, as the title says im looking for a 1200$ AUD laptop primarily for school, i want it to be able to handle all that my course requires, so since i do a bit of programming and animation on a side if it could handle the lot thats all i need. Some specs id like is: CPU: 8th gen i5 RAM: 8gb STORAGE: 256GB SSD anything that exceeds these expectations would be greatly received, ive been trying to research my own laptop but have had troubles, i found a lot of dell computers (listed below) that suits my needs but it seems the reviews on such vary widely and since i want a minimum of 5hours battery life some of them werent too apealing. If anyone can chime in with a laptop they might suggest that meets these requirements i'd be greatly appreciative. I'd prefer a somewhat bright screen that i can use outdoors, but i understand at this price point not really expecting a massive deal. And weight doesnt bother me but as for aesthetics i'd like it to be slim and stylish, its weight does not bother me. Thanks all!! https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-laptops/inspiron-14-5000-2-in-1/spd/inspiron-14-5482-2-in-1-laptop/b510902au This one is a 2in1 that matches all my criteria. https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-laptops/inspiron-15-5000/spd/inspiron-15-5570-laptop/b510561au this is the inspiron model, not a big fan of the aesthetics but got 16gb of ram and 8th gen i7 processor all in my range https://www.dell.com/en-au/work/shop/cty/pdp/spd/vostro-14-5471-laptop/b541246au vostro model, i7 processor and checks every other box. I understand to respond to this is a fair chunk of your time, but im incredibly overwhelmed with all the choices and any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.
  3. I don’t necessarily mind, 4 hours battery life at least and as light as possible. Sorry my topic wasn’t quite comprehensible, I need it to be able to do coding, animation and some of the more demanding requirements for engineering as well as handle games decently
  4. Hello everyone, I’m looking for a laptop with a professional esque that whilst I can still game on, looks like a MacBook or sleek and stylish laptop. my price range Is around 1200$ AUD but I can be flexible with this as I said before sleek and stylish is probably my main priority but also functionality as I’m going to start my study and will need a laptop that should incredibly versatile and can undergo a variety of tasks like graphic design, animation etc. I’m also a casual gamer so if it can run some of the more demanding games at around 60fps I’d be more then happy. Thanks you
  5. Preferably under 4 kgs, im not sure about the norm for laptop weight. And sorry, thought I’d give the price in USD to avoid confusion as I presumed the majority of users to be American. Around 2500$ AUD budget
  6. I was considering the blade, but it seems a lot of people have struggles with it?
  7. Sorry for the late reply, about ~2200 USD, I can push higher if need be but around there with maybe a cap at 2500 USD a cap at 2500 USD for the budget, I live in Australia, as I said before a slim model, with less weight to it and a long battery life that could last me perhaps 6-8 hours doing school related activities. I play warframe, Call of duty black ops 4, PUBG and really just anything that tickles me fancy.
  8. So essentially I’ll be finishing my school studies and entering college, so I was looking to purchase a laptop that I can use both for gaming and for school, predominantly the latter. In terms of priorities, a long battery life and a design that doesn’t scream that I’m a gamer, something more sleek and professional preferably. i was considering the razer blade 15, with a Dbrand cover to hide the logo but found it to be heavily criticised, so I am currently at an impasse. my budgets fairly flexible, albeit the cheaper the more preferable. And if anyone able to help me I’d be greatly appreciative.
