  1. Is this stil the case for rendering with Vray on Revit, for example? Most of the use will be Revit, and rendering Architectural scenes.
  2. Hello. Thanks for the answers. Yes, this is not going to be the final system. About CPU: Will install an Intel Core i7-7700K 4.20 GHz Quad-Core. About RAM: Will install a total of 16GB. Have 12GB at the moment, one chip missing. About Power limit: Didnt see any throttling because of temp, power or core voltage, but will re do the test maxing out these parameters. About Quadro card: I've heard that because of specific drivers, it behaves better than a gaming card. However, the GTX 1070 is more powerfull than the Quadro P2000, so it is not a 1 on 1 comparisson. At this momento, I tend to believe than 1070 will outperform Quadro P2000. Sadly, even if the Quadro card I bought did arrive, I will not be able to test it, because I will have to sell it ? Will re do the test with improved system and let you know. Thanks!
  3. Some test with GTX 1070 PC: CPU: DualCore Intel Celeron G3930, 2900 MHz (29 x 100) GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X (MS-V330) GPU BIOS Version: 86.04.50.00.2A PC RAM: 4 GB, DDR4-2400 (1200 MHz) OS: Windows 10 GPU NON-Overclocked OctaneBench : Score = 149.58 Cinebench R15.0: OpenGL = 86.35 fps Vray Benchmark 1.0.8: GPU Render time = 01:33 3D Mark Basic Edition: TimeSpy V10 Graphics Score = 6450 (Test1 = 43.03 FPS, Test2 = 36.25 FPS) GPU Overclocked OctaneBench : Score = 149.43 Cinebench R15.0: OpenGL = 85.66 fps Vray Benchmark 1.0.8: GPU Render time = 01:34 3D Mark Basic Edition: TimeSpy V10 Graphics Score = 6462 (Test1 = 42.95 FPS, Test2 = 36.43 FPS) GPU Overclock (MSI Afterburner) Core Voltage = Unmodified / Auto Power Limit = 100% Temp Limit = 75º Core Clock = +110 Memory Clock = +500 FAN: Auto Was expecting better performance Overclocked than non overclocked, but apparently it is the same to overclock or not overclock the GPU...or something is wrong ?
  4. Mmm.. seems Im going with GTX 1070, and try to sell the Quadro when it arrives. Thanx.
  5. But... is that really true, for us that don't need ECC memory, or 100% uptime, or other bennefits that makes a Quadro a "Workstation" GPU? In terms of Performance, would it REALLY be better a P2000 than a GTX 1070? ?
  6. Hello. First of all, hello to everyone. This is my first message in this forum! I am sure i can get a real answer here. I've been searching the internet to see some benchmarks between a PNY Quadro P2000 and an MSI GTX1070, but couldn't find. I can only find benchmarks for 1080 TI. I am building a PC for my girlfriend, mainly for working on architectural programs, and I don't know what graphic card to use. I already have a GTX1070, that I am currently trying to sell to pay part of the Quadro P2000 I bought some days ago, which hasn't arrived yet. - I know my girlfirend uses mainly Autocad, Revit, Vray. She would really appreciate good rendering times. - Se is also working on a project using SolidWorks, but I would say that it is not a huge project in terms of model size. - It would be a plus if I could also do some gaming, but in this case it is really not a priority. Questions: 1) What would be better in terms of performance for programs like Autocad, Revit, Vray (and other rendering engines), GTX1070 or Quadro P2000? 2) Will using a GTX1070 for SolidWorks render it unusable or incredibly slow? What about other programs commonly used for design? (Rhino?) 3) Even knowing I have to sell one of the 2 cards to make cash...considering a 1 monitor setup, would it be possible to install both GPU on the system? 4) Would I see any bennefit in terms of rendering with vray and other software, if I have these 2 different GPU installed "working together" ? Please... help? LOL Thank you.
