  4. Hey Guys! I have been running a setup of MSI B350 PC Mate with a ryzen 5 1400 with a GTX 1050 TI Strix for about a year now, I am wanting to upgrade to ideally a ryzen 5 2600 but i am worried about BIOS. My mobo bios is American Megatrends A.EO. Thats what comes up whichever method i use of searching for it. Does anyone know if this bios is able to handle this cpu? Or would i be better going to a 1600?

    any beeps?

    and postcodes?

It could be a bad PSU (powersuplly).

have you checked that the ram is properly mounted and tried re-mounting it?

does it stay on? or does it turn back off?

No beeps, could it still be a bad psu if the gpu is lighting up? It sometimes flickers on the  turns back off straight away

  6. So my pc has been on about 6 hours and while i was playing B2 it turned off. It wont turn back on so I cleaned it and still wont, however there is a light on my graphics card and it flickers on before turning off, could this be a overheating issue?

    specs

    msi b350 pc mate

    ryzen 5 1400

    2 4GB Ram sticks

    zalman z9 case

    arctix psu (500W i think)

    any help is appreciated

  7. What to upgrade?

So I recently came into £145 because of birthday and Christmas (plus about £95 in mall vouchers) and i was wondering what is the best upgrade on my pc?
    Specs:
    MSI B350 PC Mate mobo
    Ryzen 5 1400
    Gtx 1050 ti
    8GB of DDR4 ram
    Zalman Z9 case

Other things not mentioned like hard drive and psu are perfect for me right now so no upgrade needed. Any help is appreciated!

This could be coming from many things. Programs, toolbars, or something keeps adding that to your computer. What I recommend is opening control panel and click uninstall programs. Then click "installed on" so it can give you a list of what you installed on your computer in order of time/date. Go through every single program on your computer and remove anything suspicious or anything that you don't recognize.

If need be you can also boot into safe mode and do this again to prevent programs from reinstalling themselves after you've removed it.

Worse comes to worse you'll need to reinstall the OS. Something's gotten on your system and you need to completely get rid of it.

Will buying an anti-virus like norton help remove it?

  9. So the other day I noticed my google chrome was redirecting so I downloaded Malwarebytes software and it said I have a Trojan.Fake.Alert malware, naturally I quarantined it and deleted it from quarantine but whenever i scan it comes up with it even though every time I delete it from quarantine, help!

That's why I mention third party software. OP doesn't mention what he is doing with the drive. If he's reusing it himself in a different build, format will be fine. If he's selling it, third-party wipe, if he's retiring it permanently - hammer to the platters.

I am getting rid of it. I am mostly asking do i need to do anything to prepare it from removing from pc

Whats is the end goal? Selling it? Use a secure wipe. Just tossing it in the bin? Hammer/gun/other destructive method.

Throwing away but i dont want to idk break the pc by removing it so can i just format it and remove?

you could go for one of those drive sanitizer apps, that fill your hdd with zero's and then wipe them if you wana be more than secure.

you using it for another system yes i very much think so.

i would delete the partitions on it and re-add them after i installed it into the other (eventual) pc

im not using it again should i still follow these steps

  13. So im removing my second internal hard drive and ive wiped it(it says it is sill using 3gb but i copied all the data to another hard drive)and before i remove it i just want to check should i do anything else before i remove it ot is it ok to be removed?

check the S.M.A.R.T data on the drive. does it show that the drive is failing?

crystaldiskinfo is good for checking SMART.

Crystal disk says its healthy but should i still replace it?

  15. So i got a new hard drive recently and ive been using hard disk sentinel and the performance just dropped to 87%! I was thinking of buying a new hard drive but external this time, and recommendations,

    Requirements:

    500GB

    Trusted Brand

    £20-35

  16. So i installed a second hard drive on my

pc after having my pc for 8 months, it is fine but whenever i play games it starts clicking, should I remove the HDD and should I delete the stuff on it(just one game) before removing it? I think its the hard drive clicking anyway because i never heard the noise before I installed the second hard drive and it only happens when im playing games
