  1. Quick correction: Do not get navi gpus if you want to use resolve, resolve favours nvidia
  2. Hi, I still haven't bought it as it is out of stock on all the sites that ship to where I live (virus sucks) but regarding your question, the Dell G5 SE has the better raw price to performance, while the Zephyrus G14 has better build quality. Both are really good for value but with the Zephyrus G14 one pays for the form factor more while with the Dell G5 15 SE one pays for the price to performance more. TL;DR the Dell is much bulkier and feels much cheaper but has better price to performance, depends on what you care about. EDIT: Even before buying I am absolutely sure this thing will handle Resolve 16 perfectly well. EDIT 2: The TUF A 15 is also a nice option that's kinda similar in form and price to the Dell G5 15 SE, but if you're gonna choose that you might as well choose the Dell G5 for the pricr to performance.
  3. Thanks, I mostly render music visualisers with 3d effects in blender (which even my macbook can somewhat handle), and then put that into davinci resolve to tweak it before rendering at 1080p, so I'm assuming 16gb of ram would be just fine.
  4. Plz read this for important part So I am about to buy a ROG Zephyrus G14 as soon as the R7 4800HS and GTX 1660Ti model ($1299) starts shipping internationally, and I'm probably going to use it for some DaVinci Resolve and Blender to make music visualisers the fancy way. My main question is: do I need to upgrade the RAM from 16GB (8GB soldered and 8GB in the slot) to 24gb (8GB soldered and 16GB in the slot)?, but if U guys have any other tips & info, like the likely date when I can buy this laptop and it's performance in video editing, I would appreciate that too. Yes it is possible to have different amounts of memory in different channels
  5. Lightning fast APU builds on the cheap are out the window then
  6. If you like Shower Beer, You'll Love Shower Mocktail™ - For the younger ones
  7. Ok, well thanks, another shower thought solved
  8. I guess it would be possible to use a clear premix and a small amount of dye (not paint), but it may affect the effectiveness of the coolant
  9. I guess so, but all the white concentrates I can find also have chemical inhibitors, so I was just thinking wether I can add less concentrate and still prevent biochemical growth, or in simpler words, can I add less inhibitors than usual into distilled water and still achieve the same effect
  10. Just out of interest, I was looking at some beautiful builds with white coolant, but I was just wondering wether it would be possible to create a coolant that was somewhere between pastel white and clear?
  11. I checked them with these, I don't really care about the pcie power connectors because my 1650 doesn't have a connector for that
  12. As Far as I can tell there is no difference between the motherboard pinout and the psu pinout.
  13. Well I was thinking because the pinout is the same I could just plug the extension right into the psu. Is that the case tho? EDIT: Yes I know the cable has to be female to female but I can easily find those on amazon
  14. So, I'm planning a potential build for my parents (When they need it), and I decided to go for the HDPlex 400w DC to ATX PSU because I'm building in the Skyreach s4 mini, but I needed some short cables as an alternative to SkyWire. The pinout on the PSU seemed basically identical to that of the motherboard, but I'm not sure wether normal cable extensions could work.
  15. I'm genuinely quite skeptical about wether it would be worth it using ryzen 1st gen in 2019... Idk
