  1. Hey everyone, I am currently thinking about upgrading my gaming rig, which has the following specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X RAM: 2x16GB of DDR4 G.Skill Trident Z at 3600MHz CL16 Mainboard: ROG Strix X570-E Gaming GPU: GeForce RTX 2070 Super I am running two 1440p montiors with up to 144Hz- I am currently playing mostly Warzone and VR (mainly Beatsaber) and sometimes a few other games with friends. I am thinking about getting a 5800X3D. As far as my understanding goes, the 3D cache is great for a stable framerate which could help with VR. My question: Since the new CPU would be around 275 EURO (so I guess about 300 USD) - can someone tell me if a 5800X3D is worth it with the rest of my specs and the games I am playing? Thanks in advance!
  2. Hey everyone, I am currently looking for a new 27 inch monitor. It should have either WQHD oder 4K nad at least 100+ Hz - since I am from Germany I suspect that 144Hz is the way to go. My price range is kinda flexible, however I don't want to spend a thousand Euros or anything crazy like that. Any suggestions for a monitor I should get? Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks! I think I might go for the Samsung one!
  4. Hey everyone, I am currently searching for a good SmartWatch. I am looking for one with good battery Life, notifications, control function for YouTube Background Play or YouTube music, health and step Tracking, Timer function and maybe payment function (Not required) I currently wear a Fitbit Charge 4. It's nice for health tracking but i don't like the notification and App Control features. Anyone got any recommandations? Thanks in advance!
  5. Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy which releases early next year
  6. Hey everyone, A friend of mine is thinking about getting a new laptop for some gaming. The game she is most interested in has a GTX 1080Ti recommended. The laptop she is looking at has a 3060 (i suppose mobile) in it. Has anyone any experience if the 3060 mobile can keep Up? Thanks in advance!
  7. Yeah I guess that makes sense - do you guys think its worth to just upgrade to a new PSU (I don't trust the old one, I am thinking seasonic focus 850W?) and a 3080? Or can the 6700K just not keep up?
  8. Hey everyone, I am helping a friend with his new gaming computer. Budget (including currency): up to about 2000 Euro - doesn't hurt if it costs less Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly Gaming: War Thunder, Warzone, Ark Survival Evolved, Minecraft, Crusader Kings, Total War Warhammer (basicly all of them), Hell let lose Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Primary Display: Asus MG28U (As far as I know 4k 60Hz), Case (Enermax Thormax Giant) and Power Supply (CP-750W Plus - its called CombatPower and seems to be more on the low end, it doesn't have a 80+ Rating) So far I planned the following build: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/RhwXMb Intel Core i7 - 12700K Noctua NH-D15 Asus Prime Z690-P Wifi D4 Cosair Vengeance PFB PRO SL 32 GB (3600MHz CL18) Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB Inno3D GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB Cost: Around 1500 Euro A few background informations: Right now he is using an i7 6700K and a GTX 1080. He recently bought the new GPU which didn't arrive so he got the money back. I only added the card because he wanted to get it. I just realized that the RTX 3060 seems to be worse (at least according to userbenchmark.com) then the GTX 1080. I think he should at least get a RTX 3070 if he wants a upgrade and use the 12700K better. I am just wondering: The RTX 3060 has 50% more memory then the RTX 3070, which could come in handy in games like Warzone. If he goes for a 3070 he would for sure need a besser PSU (well, I would advise one even with the 3060). Right now I am a bit clueless if an upgrade will be any good and if a RTX 3060 would be worth spending money. What do you think? Can somebody advise me what the best build for this budget would be?
  9. So its been a while. I started using Microsoft Edge instead of Chrome and first, everything worked, not crashes...then I had one crash like one or two days ago and then today a crash when I was watching a youtube video and opened up twitch. I guess software problem is becoming more unlikely. At least the browser is unlikely I guess.
  10. Already did a clean install of Windows with my new SSD. Yeah I will try running another browser for a while.
  11. Already tried changing and turning XMP Off, nothing changed. Yeah I installed Windows 10 pro via a USB Stick I created using the media creation tool. Both times fresh download.
  12. Hey everyone, I got a problem with my PC. It all started a bit after upgrading to a new system. My PC kinda freezes at random times, mostly while watching twitch and/or youtube. It kinda feels like my explorer crashes, since I can still move my mouse, but cant interact with explorer. sometimes I can close other tabs which are open. If I manage to get into taskmanager fast enough and restart the explorer.exe the problem fixes itself. Sometimes it doesn't. I already had memtest86 run for 6 hours, no problem. Also I had a CPU stresstest running, no problem either. Since I thought it might be a drive problem, I already replaced my 970 Evo SSD with a 980 pro (I also wanted the Gen4 speed) Since it may be important, here my setup: AMD Ryzen 3700X 32 GB Trident Z RGB RAM 3600 ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ROG RTX 2070 Super Corsair RM650 NZXT H710i Main SSD: 980 pro Secondary SSD: Kingston 1 TB SA2000M81000G HDDs: 2 Old Sata Samsung drive which barely ever run So it could be a mainboard issue. But someone told me he read on google that it could be a software issue. I am using chrome for watching stuff with frankerfaceZ, darkmode and adblock running als extensions. in the background I got NZXT Cam and steam running in the background and used to have the asus rog software for managing the RGB stuff (even tho its not running currently). So do you guys think its a hardware or software issue? Can anyone help my with anything I can try? Thanks in advance!
  13. Hey everyone, I am looking for a new NVMe-SSD for my system. I am currently running a Samsung 970 EVO with 500 GB. Problem is my computer keeps crashing sometimes and my pc always wants to test my drive when booting up. Since I am running a 3700X and my Mainboard supports Gen 4, I was thinking about getting a Gen 4 one. I just discovered that Samsung has a Gen 4 one with its 980 Pro series. So my question: can anyone tell me if the 980 Pro is any good? or if any other Gen 4 SSD is better? Thanks in advance!
  14. Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. I wanna get LAN to my TV, PC, PS4 and everything in the living room. Sadly my connector for my router is in the bedroom. Since there is a long hallway and two other rooms in between, a LAN cable is sadly not an option. The Wireless isn't that great to the TV and everything else. So I got two ideas: either try DLAN, with which I had trouble in the past or using a Wifi receiver which has a output LAN port. So I was wondering if any of you has any suggestion which device could do a good and stable job, either DLAN or WLAN. Thanks in advance!
  15. Hey everyone, I am in the process of upgrading my rig to an Asus ROG X570 and a Ryzen 7 3700X. Now I wanted to ask for recommandations for good RAM. I ordered 16 GB of G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16-18-18-38 Dual Kit. Now I gotta admit, I don't have that much idea about RAM timing and stuff...I just like how the Trident Z Neo looks. So is the RAM I ordered good for my Ryzen 7 3700X or should I send it back and order different RAM? If so, which RAM would you recommand me? Thanks in advance!
  16. The dark Rock 4 is way bigger If I recall corectly, isnt it?
  17. Hey, I am looking for an Air cooler for an Ryzen 3700X. Looking for something with enough RAM clearance for Trident Z Neo and preferably black for the looks! Ist the Noctua NH U12S chromaz.black any good? Does it have enough cooling performance for an 3700X? Or ist a bei quiet dark Rock slim better? (I think the dark Rock slim doesnt have good clearance for ram tho...) Thanks in advance!
  18. Budget (including currency): 700 Euro (maybe more - see details) Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Most of all games like Valorant, Ark, Anno 1800, Warhammer Vermintide 2, VR (occulus rift for now, index is preordered), and maybe streaming those games from time to ime Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So here comes the longer story: I just sold my Notebook for 700 Euro, I got a rig at home: i5 9600k (overclocked to 4.8GHz right now) 16 GB RAM 3200 MHz RTX 2070 Super Z390 Mainboard and like all the ofther stuff a PC needs. I still have a GTX 1070 from before my GPU upgrade and I am at my parents home at the weekend quiet often. The Notebook couldn't really keep up, so gaming was no fun.... Now I wanted to build a second rig for my parents place since I have spare parts and maybe upgrading my main rig in the progress. I noticed that I am maxing out my CPU quiet often. So I wanted the 9600k for my second rig and like a Ryzen 3700k for the main rig (for streaming and maybe no more lags when playing beat saber?) Now I could get like a B450 mainboard with a 3700X and everything that is missing and I would be within budget easy, but I kinda want a nice looking rig (I just became that asus rog fanboy, already got the GPU) and was wondering what to do. The new board should at least have a USB 3.1 header on board for my front usb (the current one doesnt have) What would you guys recommand? getting like somethings cheep for the second rig insteed? Or go for the 3700X? And if you would get the 3700X, what would you do for RAM, Mainboard, Cooler and PSU? I know its a lot of ifs and options, but since I am really unsure right now. I even thought about waiting for the Ryzen 4000 chips and saving the money in the meantime. Thanks in advance!
  19. Budget (including currency): about 1500-2000€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Playing games and programming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current Display: 144 Hz, FullHD, might upgrade later Rig should last a few years. Hey everyone, I am helping a friend plan a new gaming and programming rig and feedback would be appreciated! What we came up with: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Super Windforce OC 8G G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DD4-3600 (Trident Z Neo) Seasonic Focus GX-650 Samsung 970 Evo 500GB and a WD 1 TB HDD We choose the Samsung over a Gen 4 SSD because I heard samsung is the most reliable one. All that goes into an HZXT H710 or H710i, which does not make any difference I guess. So do you guys have any feedback what could be better? Or more balanced? Thanks in advance!
  20. Thanks! I am monitoring my temps with Speccy, which works fine I think yeah found that out about ring frequency aswell...should have read up better! I might try an get RAM 3200 and maybe trying to lower the core voltage a bit when I got time. Thanks for the input might try that AIDA 64 trial!
  21. Well yeah...tbh: I thought it was turbo speed.... as I said: no experience so far... But well: I got it to 4.8 GHz right now with a ring speed of 4.5 Ghz and 3000 MHz RAM and it seems to work! at least the last 5 min stress test are working! I got voltage 1.35, 1.1, 1.1 and 1.35! my temps are at like 73-75° Celsius, which should be fine? Looking forward to test it out in games tomorrow! After that, fine tuning voltages Thanks you guys so much!
  22. Well I tried both, everthing by its own, combined. PC crashed before I could fire up the stress test. Maybe its just a question of fine tuning it, I will read up on it and try it on the weekend. Thanks so much guys!
  23. well, 4.6 is only the single core turbo I think, mine turbos mostly to 4.3 with all cores. But thanks, I will try that!
