  1. I got rid of the bloatware software got from 8gb of ram usage to 7gb, Plus I use the omen stuff for system temps and network activity and I got rid of other modules it provides
  2. It's been a while since I started noticing that my system is using too much ram when idle and slows down when I run games, I don't know if its a problem with certain software or I just need to upgrade my ram? Can someone help me out? My system specs are- Cpu- intel i7-7700HQ Gpu- nvidia GTX1070 Ram- 16 Gb 2400MHz Storage- 2 TB of combined HDD and SSD
  3. I searched online for the cable serial number it is like 30$ , is this price expensive or cheap? Edit: well I contacted hp and the cable will be replaced with my battery as It apparently died within a week (sad as no gaming this week)
  4. So I was playing r6 and noticed a huge fps drop (it happens when ac power in gets disconnected) and there was no electricity outage( it's common in the area I live in). I checked out my ac power adapter and it was not overheated. I checked around and finally decided to open up my laptop (I usually open it up to clean out the dust in the vent and fan) and noticed the cable connecting power in and the motherboard was disconnected and I found out one of the pin sorted out , I don't know what to do and I don't have a reliable repair center nearby , I connected the cable and then the charger , it worked as laptop booted up (I removed the battery) and the charging light lit up . Can anyone shed some light on the situation?
  5. I want to replace my laptop's thermal paste as the current stock paste is trash I have been searching for a good thermal paste but idk which one to go to I can spend upto 50$ for the thermal paste as this laptop is my main workstation/gaming-station. Any suggestions?
  6. Man I was also going for replacing the thermal paste and I wasent sure. Thermal Grizzly is a good company but what about their other product like aeronaut and the hydranaut?
  7. The problem started when i updated my drivers from "HP Support assistant" and then i used to play FORTNITE after the updates i observed that my laptop screen went black and i had to restart my laptop by the power key. I cheeked my temp an they went wild. Then i came up with a solution that i play games in front of my ac. Things went well, but now i have to go to collage and i cant do the ac stuff. I cant get to roll back changes,
  8. Fan portfolio? like fan speed (I have all my fans on max)
  9. The Cooling Fan is brand nee (bought it a month ago) and there is no blockage in the fan.
  10. I have been underclocking my cpu with "Intel EXTREME tuning kit" with turbo boost off and cpu offset to -0.125v , same for cache AND how do i replace the thermal paste in laptop?
  11. i use my laptop on my table with a laptop cooler and I have tried watchdogs 2 on lowest settings, still suffering crash after 5 min of gameplay.
  12. I am having problem with cooling end of my laptop, I am using HP OMEN 17 2018 edition bought for 1,69,000 INR my specs are GTX 1070 I7 7700k 16 gb ram I am facing game crashes during gaming, the game crashes with my pc, I have ran Geeks 3D furmark at 1080p 8x msaa and max temp of 91 I face this problem while playing games with high graphics. If someone can help me, please I do need help
  13. I have thought of a possible solution to the sub-zero cooling. An window air-conditioner if tweaked a bit can do sub-zero cooling as i had an LG window ac and due to some problem in the circuitry it used to work on maximum power and ICE(yes ice) used to form on it's filter. So if we can use the whole setup and plug the coolant pipes to a liquid cooler then we can go SUB-ZERO with that. It is a concept which may work and maybe a little expensive (average ac in my country are about 200$) but will be quite less messy and more power consuming but may help break records.
