  1. Well, I'm a bit sad because I didn't got any replays Ordered the stuff, put the stuff in, got a shitload of BSODs so now I'm returning the motherboard, cpu and ram. CPU will remain the same. I really like this Motherboard features so maybe... I will get the same... But I'm open to suggestions. I want something with 2 lan ports. I want any 2x 8gb Ram that the new motherboard will support. The problems I had were pretty nasty. In the end I wasn't able to boot Ubuntu, not Winows 7 on DVD, not windows 10 on USB or DVD... whenever the win loading screen appeared I was getting a BSOD with a lot of different errors. Anyway, please... guys... any suggestions? Thank You
  2. Hello beautiful people! The time has come to upgrade my old rig: Got this one in 2011, Video Card in 2013. It still works really really well. Anyway... For my upcoming PC I actually had to make a 5 year loan. I feel a little bit bad & strange about it. My budget is about 2300$ let's say... but this also includes a gaming chair. From this old PC I will keep the Case, the HDD's & the PSU (Leadex Gold 650W) So this is what I want to get right now. Everything is open to suggestions: Motherboard: ASUS Z170 DELUXE I think this card is a beast. I like that it has 2 LAN ports. Current motherboard also has 2 and they actually proved useful. My PS4 doesn't want to connect to the wi-fi so I'm sharing a connection with it. Also, this card wasn't in stock for the past 1 month ... and right now it appears they only have 1 in stock so I have to move fast. I might order this one right now. So guys... should I? CPU: Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz box Pretty straight forward. Right? Cooler: I'm really open to suggestions. Something that it's max 100$. Maybe maaaybe if there is something good I might take it. I was looking at a Noctua NH-D15 but I think it might be to big? RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Red 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Dual Channel Kit 2 sticks... good MHz... and the price is around 110$ Corsair Vengeance LPX Red 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL14 Dual Channel Kit About 120$ ... they seem better than the first one? HyperX Predator Black 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Dual Channel Kit Those are actually in stock and I can get them in 2 days with the rest. 126$ Video Card: I want to go for a GTX 1070. I find 1080 to expensive. Right now it's a big problem because they don't have to many in stock here in Romania. They do have some founder's edition... I also have NO idea which one is the best, advantages/disadvantages. I heard that the STIX might be good? EDIT: They do have a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 GAMING 8GB DDR5 256-bit. The price is about 587$ 3TB HDD: Right now I have 1 SSD. 2x 1TB HDD. 1x External 1.5TB HDD. I want to get rid of the 2x 1TB HDDs and get a 3TB one. I heard that HGSC have a low fail rate but I can only find a NAS at a decent price. I also see a Ultrastar 7K4000 but that's like 300$ ... way to much. So any suggestions? Let's say maximum 150$? Chair: DXRacer King I'm sick of having cheap chairs. I want something that can support my back. I'm 1.82m talk and ... about 125 kg... so I'm fat. From the reviews I saw I would fit nicely into a King. USB Sound Card: Creative Omni 5.1 Well I used to do streaming & videos in the past and I found it very useful to be able to have a normal sound card & a USB sound card. I could switch form windows where to output the sound. Can I do this with this? The current USB I have it's from a crappy Steelseries Headset & it's pretty bad. I want to replace it. So this is it. I'm open to suggestions. Thank You Guys! <3
  3. Any other suggestions? thanks
  4. I have created a bootable OCZ Bootable Toolbox. Coudn't find the SSD. I took the SSD out in order to let it "drain". When I went back to boot my PC, Windows had a problem. That classic "Hardware change problem". When I installed Win I had the SSD inside. I had to use the Repair function from the win DVD. Strange.
  5. I never defragmented the SSD. I never knew it was possible on the SSD. One thing to add, I think I had a "power failure" in the house. Like I lost the electricity ... and maybe that affected the SSD? It never happened before and before this everything was super fine. It worked like charm.
  6. Hello guys, I have a SSD OCZ Vector Series 256GB SATA-III 2.5 inch for 1 year. Everything was fine until 3 hours ago when I woke up and found the PC shut down. When I launched I got that classic "boot" thing, SSD being my windows drive. Went to BIOS and I can't make it see my SSD. I tried to move it to a different cable. Now it sits in the "drive rack bay" that the Corsair 650D has. Still no luck. I pulled out all the other HDDs and only left him alone, no luck. In the morning (it's 3:21 AM here) I will try to go at someone to test the SSD on another PC, but in the meantime, is there something else I can do? This was my work drive, I only lost a game save file and some game recordings + an episode I recorded. Nothing major... but still annoying. Thank You /PET
