  1. So I'm back with an update. He put his old GPU back in and kept the new RAM in. It booted, but gave him a Blue Screen error. The only thing we could think of is that when he pulled the CMOS it dumped the BCD and couldn't find the Boot Configuration. He ran the repair and and everything booted up fine. So, he's going to purchase a 750w 80+ Gold Tier PSU and install it as well as put his 1070 back in. At that point everything should work fine.
  2. He took to a repair shop where they, I believe, swapped out the PSU for one a little more powerful and the new RAM posted with the 1070 installed. So, I believe his PSU was the issue.
  3. So I just found out that he is using a 500w PSU. The 1070 allegedly need more to power on. I will keep this post updated when I find out more information.
  4. Few I can let him know that. We were all a little worried about that. We all tried helping him with some possible fixes, but we are completely stumped on what could be causing his issue.
  5. I have a friend who had just purchased new RAM that was on sale. He installed it and now his computer won't show a picture. Below is what he had posted on Reddit (r/pcmasterrace) hoping to get a reply. I wanted to post here to see if anyone would be able to help with some suggestions. My friends initial post: "Just got new RAM (2x8GB G.Skill ddr4 2133) to replace my 2x4GB Ballistix ddr4. Switched the RAM out and plugged everything back in. Switched the computer back on. It kicked on but the monitor wouldn't recognize it. Switched back to my old RAM to see if maybe the new RAM was the issue and now that doesn't work either. I have made sure everything is still connected, RAM has been reseated, computer has been cleaned out with a can of compressed air, CMOS jumper used to reset BIOS and motherboard battery removed and put back to reset bios, single RAM stick used in each of the four slots still nothing. I am running out of ideas and am just hoping my mobo isn't fried (as far as I know there isn't a speaker or light on it so I really don't have a way to tell if it is or not). If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. Mobo: Asrock Z170 Pro4p" Reddit link:
