  1. Have done so - no errors on the stutter dimm.
  2. So... normally been using 2x8gb ddr4 3200mhz ram in XMP2, kinda running fine. Added another 2x8gb to make it 32gb ram. Windows starts stuttering in desktop badly. Think it may be the ram... so I try to isolate the new ram. Turns out i've only made it stutter (this is major stutter, running windows it just stutters like crazy) when using a single dimm on the 4th slot. So I think could it be the ram or the ram slot? So I try another dimm in the same slot... no stutter. But I then try the dimm that stuttered in the 4th slot in the 2nd slot... no stutter. What do i do?
  3. I have always been an avid gamer. The first console I played on was the Commodore 64 and since then I have grown to love games. Most recently, I have fallen out with them but still continue to purchase and play them. My PC setup is as follows: Monitor Acer X27 4K 144HZ HDR 1000 G Sync Ultimate Monitor PC Intel Core i7 9700k @ 5Ghz Asus Z390 Maximus IV Hero ROG motherboard 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz DDR4 Ram 1TB Samsung Evo M.2 NVME drive Asus RAIDR ROG 240GB MSI Geforce RTX 2080 TI Gaming X Trio OC Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum 850w Internet 1 gigabit internet through wired ethernet connection I shouldn't run into problems right? I should be able to play at 4K and have a smooth lag free experience right? Wrong. Framerates - check Monitor to run framerates - check Frametimes - WTF Ok. The most BASIC level of G Sync offers "no tearing, stutter or input lag". This is BS. My frametime latency jumps every 30 seconds or so on games such as Battlefield. It's just a crap experience. Tried the new low latency mode? Yep.. does not do anything. Then theres the people who say "well battlefield v is just a badly optimised game". Tell me one AAA game that IS optimised? That does play well without any lag or stutter? What is the point in my setup if im not enjoying it? It just does not feel immersive when you're lagging for no reason. I literally do not know what I can do to get a gaming experience that is just smooth. I don't care if I have 60fps rather than 90fps that im getting on battlefield. I just want it to be smooth. These issues make me go back to playing games that a £100 PC can run - Rocket League and flipping CS GO. Something needs to change in this industry or is it just me?
  4. Please see images. The processes change constantly. They go up and down in usage for no reason. This is literally a fresh build of windows with nothing on it except drivers.
  5. I seem to be always having a problem with my PC, no matter what. I originally had a small form factor itx build with 9700k, z390i asus motherboard, 16gb ram, corsair nvme, sf600, rtx 2080ti asus... i didn't feel it was running quite right, my fps wasn't where it should have been. I then switched this PC, using the same 9700k but got a ATX, asus xi hero z390, seasonic 850w platininm additional 16gb ram and a msi gaming x trio rtx 2080ti. Upon initial use.. all is fine, great.. high fps no stuttering or anything. All of a sudden a few days ago.. i start getting high cpu usage for no reason and on the desktop the mouse cursor stutters and there is freezing. I check all the drivers, all is installed. I check for viruses, nothing. I reset my pc... same issue. I do a fresh install using a USB, same issue. I then use my old rtx 2080 from my previous previous build.. even worse issue. I get system interrupts on my task processes which can be hardware/driver related. I get some odd processes coming up which i don't know what they are. The CPU temperature seems to be hover between 30 and 50 (it will jump suddenly sometimes). I reseated the CPU and applied thermal paste again. I checked the cpu fan cable.. I have the latest BIOS, latest intel drivers, latest nvidia drivers, checked the drivers using asus utiltity. I literally don't know what this is. Im running a memtest86 now to check if its the memory. :(((( I HATE PCS!
  6. Hi guys. I’m building this pc core i7 9700k h100i Corsair aio 32gb ram 3200mhz corsair asus rog maximus xi hero Lga 1151 z390 asus dual oc rtx 2080ti 1gb m.2 Samsung evo nvme 5 fans Will my Corsair gold sf600 be enough? I’m planning on over locking the cpu to 5ghz as well.
  7. So my original specs were Intel Core i7 9700k 16gb DDR4 Ram SF600 PSU Asus Z390-I ITX motherboard Asus RTX 2080 blower fan Acer XV273K 4K 144hz Phanteks shift case I then upgraded to an RTX 2080ti, same model Asus and then got carried away and upgraded to the Acer X27. I started getting weird issues, such as artifacting (only at the start) in HDR games (thought this was just issues with HDR generally) and thinking that the games were stuttering / not smooth even though I was getting high ish fps. I then DDU and reinstalled drivers. Straight after this.... kernel 41 power error. Computer wouldn't stay on for more than 5 mins before restarting. Reinstalled windows... same issue. I had this issue when I first built my PC but it seemed to fix itself when I installed chipset drivers. Anyway.. I still had my 2080 so I put that in... issue hasn't happened since. Must be the graphics card right? Well.. I took the 2080ti back. FPS is of course lower than before but I feel that the games are smoother and less stuttery. What could of caused this problem? - Faulty GPU - SF600 not capable of RTX 2080ti? What do you guys think?
  8. I dunno.. I'm getting like 60fps on some games but it still feels laggy. I had a RTX 2080 and XB273K before this and didnt notice this problem, wasnt using HDR then.
  9. Thank you all. In regards to HDR enabled both desktop and in game. For some games like Hitman 2 I have the option to use HDR (when windows HDR is off) but for tomb raider, forza etc.. I can only enable HDR when HDR is on in windows?
  10. Yep - everything on ultra. With DLSS I get around 40-50 but its blurry. Also getting some artifacting with HDR at the start of the games, not sure why.
  11. So.. I wanted the ultimate setup. Setup: Core i7 9700k 16gb DDR4 3200mhz 1TB PCI M.2 SSD RTX 2080TI ACER X27 144HZ 4K HDR 1000 Should be able to play on max settings 60fps almost any game right? Shadow of the Tomb Raider - in game.. 30 FPS. WTF?
  12. I haven't even received the code from the retailer..
  13. Hi guys. I bought a RTX 2080ti from Currys / Pcworld in the UK. It says I should receive Wolfenstein and Control. Who is meant to send the code? Currys say they have not got any code and speak to Nvidia/Bethesda, Nvidia say speak to the vendor. Lol WTF? The instructions are in the link below but all the other times i've bought a graphics card, the vendor should send the code right? https://currys-ssl.cdn.dixons.com/css/themes/pdf/Wolfenstein_redemption_UK.pdf?_ga=2.216416470.1384387217.1564317274-1933993029.1548968362
  14. Hi guys. I have a phanteks shift case. I want to go Dual AIO. I currently have an RTX 2080 Asus Turbo (blower style) as i thought this was best for this kind of case without going watercooling. It's not bad.. it reaches around 72 degrees max but can get loud. Seen the RTX 2080 Super EVGA hybrid card - would this fit in this kind of case? Then again, I wanted more performance so kind of want a 2080ti... but then again the price difference between the two is ridiculous (£799 vs £1399).
