i always had 60 hz monitors and this one is ips so looked much better than my other one, i thought that was it lol.

lmao thats hilarious, i had this monitor since july thinking it was automatically set to 240 hz.

so even though i was pushing 200 fps i was still locked to 60hz?

but if my gsync 240 hz monitor was set to 60 hz this entire time, how come my fps meter always said 180+ fps and it would never go over 240. Also there was 0 screen tearing. Now with 240 hz same exact fps but everything feels and looks different

Hi sorry guys just seen your messages now. I ended up getting a cooler master ml240r and temps are now running at 55 average under load. Sometimes 60 but thats max.

Hi, okay so i kind of just made a discovery...but at this point idk if its real of just in my head. I had a 240 1080p monitor with gsync for a couple of months now and today i noticed that in nvidia control panel<change resolution my monitor was set at 60 hz, even though i can cap 240 fps in some games. I changed it to 240 hz and i think everything is way more smoother, i started to get dizzy after 10 mins cause i wasn't used to it. I am going back and forth between 60 and 240 hz to see the difference, there seems to be one but i feel like its in my head. What confuses me that whether i pick 60 hz or 240 hz i still get 200 fps in the game. I always though that if a monitor is set to 60 hz the fps is max 60.

Hi guys i just built a sick rig today and i am having a problem. I purchased a cheap CPU cooler because the RGB looks frigging awesome, i am happy with the look but not the performance. Idle temps are at around 40-43C but while i game they sky rocket, after around 20 mins i was at 90c. I didnt stick for much longer to see what will happen, any ideas what can be wrong? I used MX-4 thermal paste, i might have used a little bit too much. I wanted to make sure it covers the whole cpu but it definitely wasnt a whole lot, pea size x2. The CPU cooler is called "aigo darkflash shadow". Another thing i noticed is that my TMPIN3 sits at around 60c, after a little research i found out thats the north bridge. Im guessing its that high because of the CPU? all the other bridges were at around 40c. Can someone help me please, thank you. Worst case scenario il have to get a water cooler. I HOPE not because i love how my set up looks now.
