It does both. The system has shutdown a few times, where I have been unable to restart for a few minutes. It has also turned off and restarts itself. The PSU was in single, but I have also tried in multi rail mode. Both have the same result.

I have turned the surge protection off in the bios, unfortunately there is still no change. I appreciate the help.

I think I am having a possible PSU issue. I bought a new Corsair hx1000i 6 months ago and until recently my computer was working fine. The issue is, whenever I try to run any games the system will restart, this is a recent issue. Occassionaly I get a message saying "anti surge protection" I have run prime with no issues. My computer is really getting on in age. I was planning on upgrading, but I was hoping to hold out until next year. My spec: CPU - I7 4790k GPU - Titan x PSU - hx1000i Ram - Corsair 1866 ddr3 Mobo- asus rog formula If anyone could offer advice on what could possibly be causing this issue I would greatly appreciate any feedback. The oldest games I own are dune and day of the tentacal. I bought them years ago. Graphics look dated but resolution is just a number so they still hold up well.

I have 50/10. The biggest difference I found when changing my router was the link speed.

Connecting the shield up the the tv and streaming was a big reason for me in buying the nvidia tablet. I liked the versatility.

I found browsing in general slow, YouTube and google still worked ok, but was just slow. Connecting it to 5GHz wifi was a massive improvement, it is very fast now.

I was having a similar problem. To play games on grid or to stream anything in good quality ( lag free) you need 5GHz wifi. I didn't know this when I bought the nvidia shield. I ended up buying a new router, because my ISP (sky) only supply routers on 2.4GHz. Tbh on 2.4GHz i found it very slow even on google. If you can, try to connect it to a friends router and see if that help. I am very happy with it now, it was well worth up grading the router. Hope this helps
