  1. Hi I have 2 keyboards 1 is a usb type, but it does not work when booting up and I could not go to the BIOS since it only works/powers up once windows logo shows up. I have a ps2 keyboard but when pressing the spacebar the volume adjust down and when pressing numlock the volume adjust up. Whats wrong? How do I fix this 2 issues?
  2. I dont know I have a a4tech x7 g300, and it started acting up. Whenever I press the spacebar the volume goes down and when I press the Numlock the volume goes up. The keyboard is plugged to the ps2 port, I had changed the mobo and had the same issue. It does not have drivers on its website and I still want to use it since all the other keys work properly. How can I fix this issue?
  3. So I will first do a clean install on my SSD, then after that I will plug in my old hdd, boot off the new SSD and then remove the C: Partition off the old HDD and this will not affect my game file nor my data file in D: and E: right? Will there be any big difference between 1. Just deleting drive C: 2. Backing Up files to an external hdd and then reformatting the old HDD Performance? Or would it be the same?
  4. So I just recently acquired a new Kingston Hyper X ssd, and wanted to do a clean install of windows on it, however I would like to remove the OS on my old WD Green 3tb drive and just make it as the secondary drive without any OS installed on it. As of now the WD Green 3tb drive is portioned as follows: C: Windows OS/Some junk files D: Games/Apps E: Files Now I was wondering, can I just delete/format the C: Drive partition to get rid of the OS and then realocate the volume to the other drives? Would that work? I don't have an external drive to copy my files into, as my files and games result to atleast 2.5tb of data and I have no external drive that could handle that. My new SSD is only 250gb. How should I go about it without having to reformat the whole 3tb hdd? Help... thanks!
  5. so how about removing the corroded part first? I saw some using erasers? would that work? some elbow grease, 90%isopropyl alcohol and eraser?
  6. I live by the sea, its a tropical country and sometimes there are high range of humidity, but this is the first that it has happened. So is it safe?
  7. Found some corrosion on my mobo and was thinking of spraying WD40 on it.. would it be safe and would it work? Will also be try to laminate - coat - paint the pcb... what spray? laquer? paint should I use?
  8. Yep I thought someone would notice that, really got used calling the whole case as the CPU. ahahaha... hard habit to break.
  9. But I guess it would help if the unit is turned off just so that moisture does not get too high inside the case? in terms of when the computer is running i doubt there would be high moisture since the fans are blowing it out
  10. ahaha I may even try putting uncooked rice packets ahahah heard they work like miracle
  11. Ahaha I was worried that it may draw in the moisture rather than push it out...
  12. Thank you so much, and that is why I posted it in the boards, wanted to verify such info... haven't been around building setups for a while so I thought there was a change.
  13. Recently I needed to replace my MOBO because it continued powering off 10 seconds to powering on, and this is after alot of troubleshooting and consultation it was found that the mobo was shorting out. So I was thinking, how was that possible, I never spilled water or got water near my board, but I did see a bit of corrosion on my r7 260x. And so I began to think on how I could reduce moisture... being in a wet and humid tropic country with no available AC. I wondered, I have alot of silicate gel, in the packets and out of packets as in a huge stock of it, would it be safe to put it inside the CPU Case so that it would reduce the moisture within the box?
  14. Hahaha, from a comparison website, I did check the MSI website and might have missed out on that info so I got confused. Thank you so much for the quick response!
  15. Hi quick question, so I will be replacing my motherboard, I have an intel i5 4440 processor which has an integrated graphics. my previous board was a Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5, now I am thinking of using a MSI-B85-G43-GAMING or MSI-B85M-GAMING Now I checked the specs for both and it says not compatible with integrated graphics, and The MSI B85-G43 GAMING and the MSI B85M GAMING are not compatible with CPUs with integrated graphics. Dedicated graphics cards (GPUs) will be required for both boards. However it does have the connectors for video, and as far as my memory goes I know it should be able to support the Integrated Graphics on my Processor.
