Cervidae's Achievements

  1. Hard decision where to put those extra fans. Because I also want to look it as clean af from the outside. Table will be made out of square steel tubes and birch wood. I think I can put one or two to the wall behind the HDD for intake and one or two behind the MoBo and radiators. Thx for the quick answers.
  2. Hello, I'm planing to build my own desk with my PC integrated. Currently my system is build into a tower and is running only with air cooling. My system: Case: Fractal Design Define XL R2 MoBo: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite (rev. 1.0) CPU: Intel i9-9900k CPU Cooler: Alpenföhn Brocken 3 GPU: Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2070 AMP Extreme (ZT-T20700B-10P) RAM: HyperX FURY Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2666 CL 16 (HX426C16FB2K2/16) SSD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO (500GB) m2 SSD: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus (1TB) HDD: WD Blue 4TB (WD40EZRZ) PSU: Corsair HX750 Optic: LG BH16NS55 Fan: beQuiet! Pure Wings 2 (120x120x25) (4x) For the desk I'm going to install a custom water cooling loop with soft tubing. Radiators: 1 x 240 mm / 1 x 360 mm Pump/Reservoir: Combo unit I made a first 3D model of the desk case. yellow: optical + USB hub pink: HDD + SSD green: PSU cyan: MoBo blue: GPU grey: CPU waterblock red: radiotors (the pump/reservoir will be mounted on top of the radiator) Cables will be routed beneath the case (therefor are the holes). The radiators are facing downwards. Soft tubings will be routed in the case. Finelly my question: Do I need additionl fans in the case for air flow? The countertop will be installed with a spacing to the case box. Thx for reading and maybe answering. Cervidae
  3. I just bought it for this build. It's a gray label on the side. EAN: 0843591093286 / Corsair ID: CP-9020137-EU That is the resaon I bought nearly everthing new. I only keep my case (Fractal Design Define R2 XL), SSD (Samsung 840 EVO 250GB), Mouse (Logitech MX518) and monitor (Samsug Whatever 4k). And 4 new case fans. My dad will receive my current system, because his workstation is far to old :D. I would consider myself a quiet knowledged PC builder but sometimes I also have to ask for help, because the last systems (my current) I build 5 years ago. Again thanks to all!
  4. Thank you! I think its there for overclocking capability? Thank you! I went for AMD nearly 10 years, never had any trouble with those CPUs, but now I'm kinda into Intel. But new AMD CPUs will kick Intels a** in some way.
  5. Hi there, Currently I'm planing my new system. MB: Gigabyte Z390 Aourus Elite CPU: Intel i9-9900k GPU: Zotac RTX 2070 AMP Extreme RAM: HyperX DDR4-2666 / 16 GB (2 Sticks) Storage: 1x M.2 + 1x SSD + 2x HDD Optical: LG BlueRay RW PSU: Corsair HX750 The MB has besides the 24 pin connection a 4 and 8 pin connection as well. Can I use one of the EPS/ATX12V, 8 pins (4+4) for the 4 pin slot? Thank you. Cervidae
  6. Yeah, sure. Sorry for the confusion. The PSU is sucking air from the bottom and and exhausting it to the rear. Also I mounted the case fans in the right direction, wether, in or out. No everything is clear. I just have to change direction of bottom and top fan, as well as the CPU fan. Thanks everybody. Merry X-Mas
  7. I have 4 120mm static fans. I can't remember from which manufacturer they are. // Totally forgot: The PSU is blowing down.
  8. Ok, thanks both to you. Should I use high pressure for int and static for out, or all just static?
  9. Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Just a quick overview to myself: 31 years old, bases in Munich, Germany, buidling my own PC's since 13 years (but now I have a beginners question :)) As I'm not sure, if this would be a topic for the cooling-forum, please be so kind and move it to there. I'm building a new PC at end of January and I'm trying to figure out how to assemble my case fans the best way. Currently the setup is (all fans are 120mm) 1. Front fan: pushing are into the case 2. Bottom fan: Sucking air out 3. Rear fan: Sucking air out 4. Top fan: Pushing air in 5. CPU fan: Pushing against the GPU. So my idea is now. 1 and 3 stay the same way, but maybe high pressure fans 2 stays the same (static fan) 4 pushing out (static fan) 5 turn the CPU fan directing to the top My new setup will be: CPU: Intel i9-9900k MB: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite RAM: HyperX 2x8 GB (maybe 4x8 GB) GPU: Asus GeForce RTX2070 ROG Strix OC Gaming CPU cooler: Alpenfoehn Brocken 3 (140 mm, up to 220 Watts) PSU: Corsair HX1000 Things I already have Case: Fractel Define R2, XL Storage: 2x SSD and 2x HDD. Thank you for your help. Greetings
