  1. If you are used to Windows try Linux Mint (Cinammon), if you are used to Mac OS try Fedora Workstation.
  2. There is a useful video here that explains how to remove all your partitions:
  3. you could also try 86box http://86box.net/
  4. Hi, does anyone know the maximum number of ISO files that can be mounted at a time? Given that they are assigned a letter, I wondered if you are limited by the alphabet (and any other existing drives)?
  5. @Mr-G-Man thanks; I checked but there is no fluff etc. I have since checked the drive in the BIOS and it is no longer recognised, so I think it is dead unfortunately
  6. Hi I recently renamed my Samsung FIT USB stick, since doing this after a restart the drive no longer mounts. I tried checking Disk Management and it no longer appears. I also tried it in other computers including an old XP machine and it's the same issue. Does anyone know if there's anything I can do? If Disk Management can't see the drive is it now dead?
  7. Hi I recently switched from internal audio to a USB sound card; an Asus Xonar U5. I was previously using a Realtek Audio Console with my internal audio; this had an option for Room Correction which I found handy. It allowed me to set the distance I was sitting from the speakers. The software the Xonar uses (Sonic Studio) does not have any room correction options so I was wondering if anyone knows of an alternative solution? Either using third-party software (ideally free), or if there is method using Windows?
  8. Hi I have a small laptop supplied by work and I also have a personal desktop with a large display that's easier to work from. I have Teamviewer installed on the work laptop and I would like to connect to that using Teamviewer on my desktop. This also means I can mouse over to my personal stuff and play music or sort my own files etc. during work hours. I have managed to do this, but my internet at home is very slow. If I am connected to the laptop using Teamviewer over the internet then when I access the internet on either device everything is too slow. I can connect to Teamviewer using only LAN but then I cannot access the internet on either. So the question is does anyone know if I can have both computers accessing the internet (my desktop and work laptop), but teamviewer would then use a local network only (so that my internet doesn't slow down). I can only use Teamviewer as I do not have admin rights on the laptop to use another program. I have some spare wifi routers and usb wifi dongles here and there so they could possibly be used.
  9. Hi I recently purchased a 2.4Ghz Wireless Remote Control or Air Mouse, this to be precise https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B00WDSCTR4 It didn't come with a driver or any download reference, and when I first tried using it without being connected to the internet it wasn't working properly. After going online Windows automatically downloaded a driver and it then worked fine. So I was wondering if anyone knows a way that I can make a backup of the files/driver that Windows downloaded?
  10. Budget (including currency): €100 Country: Ireland/Europe Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: file transfer Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI, spare PCIEx4, PCIEx8. Hi, I have a CM Storm Enforcer case, it has a USB hub at the top which often disconnects devices when several are connected. I'm not sure if this is a bug with Windows' default driver? but I am always having issues with the hub at the top of all towers regardless of what's connected, perhaps it's related to power draw? Anyway, so I'm looking to buy a USB 3 card to go in a PCI slot, with at least x4 ports, ideally USB 3.1 if possible. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI motherboard with a spare PCIEx4 and PCIEx8 slot. I've found it tricky to find reviews of USB3 cards and I bought one in the past which had issues, most likely caused by a bad driver, so ideally I'm looking for something that's reasonably supported and by a brand that's reasonably well known. I don't mind spending a bit more if needed. So I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations?
