  1. Update! I have bought all det hardware, and some of the peripherals. As you will notice, i didn´t take the Asus RaidR PCI-E SSD, i found out that the formula motherboard doesn't have enough pci-e lanes for SLI and the RaidR which requires a PCI-E x2. Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Formula CPU: Core i7 4770K RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 GFX: 2x Asus GTX780 DirectCU II OC in SLi CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 PSU: Corsair AX860i SSD: 2x Samsung EVO 840 120GB in Raid 0 HDD: 2x Seagate Baracuda 3TB in Raid 0 Optical Drive: ASUS BW-16D1HT (Yes i still use this an optical drive) Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K95 Mouse: Logitech G602 Fans: 4x Corsair SP120 Quiet + 2x AF120 Quiet OS: Windows 8.1 Misc: Asus ROG Frontbase Headset: I have set my mind on a Steelseries H Wireless Headset I am currently running this, and it runs great. I am wating for a set of red individually sleeved kabels for my PSU, and i am trying to find the right LED strip to light op the inside. Also i will make a window ind my Cosmos 2, and some other stuff to make it look awesome. I am using Autodesk 3DS Max, which supports iRay rendering. And i use Adobe Photoshop CS6, which should be able to take advantage of cuda.
  2. Thanks for all the great answers... 1. The budget on the $4k is with all peripherals, and with the hardware pricing here, i dont see LGA2011 as an option for me. 2. It`s pretty cool that side panel fra MNPCTECH, but i think it will be too expensive with shipping. For what i know, Coolermaster is considering to make a windowed side panel (http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/hardware-clinic-2/cooler-master-facebook-wants-you-vote-vote-cosmos-ii-windowed-side-panel-options-3874280.html) And i would love one of type B or C. But i think i will have to find my Dremmel, and make my own 3. I'm wating to in the middle of April, before i place my order. I guess the release of the 800 series geforce, will affect pricing on the 700 series. 4. I am considering to boy 32GB ram, but maybe i will start out with 16GB, and have the possibilitie to uograde later if needed. Thats why i choose 2x8GB and not 4x4GB What about headset? I have looked at Logitech G930 and Corsair Vengance 2100
  3. Hi! I am a new user, but a long time viewer on youtube. After a long time on a old slow system, i`m finally ready to plan af more or less complete new system. I live in Denmark, so pricing may vary, but my budget is equivalent to $4,000USD. I game nut i´m no pro gramer, and i use following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Dreamweaver. Autodesk 3ds max and Maya 3d. After a lot of research, i have found this to suite my needs: Hardware: Case: Coolermaster Cosmos II (My currently, which i will be reusing) Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Formula CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengance Pro 1866MHz CL9 Video card: 2x Asus GTX 780 DirectCU OC 3GB in sli PSU: Corsair AX860i System drive: Asus Raid-R 240GB Pci-E SSD Storage: I have som WD Greens i will be reusing Accessories: Asus ROG Frontbase Corsair red Individually Sleeved Modular Cables. Fans: Corsair AF120 and AF140 Quiet editions Peripherals: Keyboard: Corsair Vengance K95 (I would love the Corsair RGB keyboard, but i don know when it will be released) Mouse: Logitech G602 Mousepad: Steelseries QCK (My currently, which i will be reusing) Headset: My currently is a eDimensional Audio FX Pro by Ben Heck, but i am looking for a replacement for this. Speakers for gaming: Logitech Z5500 (My currently, which i will be reusing) Speaker for music: Yamaha AX892 amplifier and Infinity Primus 250 Monitor: I currently have 2x Dell SP2309P, but are thinking about buying a LG 29eb96-P. I know it may be a bit overkill, and not the best value for money. But i want to spend that extra, to get i sexy looking beast... Are there anything i should be aware of? What would be a great new gaming headset? Is it possible to get a side panel whith a window, for the Cosmos 2? Thanks....
