  1. Just read through the whole conversation:) Do appreciate you guys trying to help! I keep changing my mind on buying a used GPU I might wait to find a good deal. But yeah thankyou again for the suggestions has been helpful!
  2. Woah thanks for all the suggestions they are super helpful! I will have a look now. I was wondering about a 3060 instead of a 3060ti. Having more vram makes sense because its for his job haha. Will look at the 5700X as an alternative, what are the main differences?
  3. Budget (including currency): £1200 Country: England Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: ArcGIS, MATLAB and Python Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Only ever built one P.C. Was purely for gaming. This one is for my brother and he needs it work work as well as games. I have no idea where to start tbh. Any help would be amazing. First thought were 5800x + 3060Ti? Many thanks for all the help on my last build btw!
  4. Thanks for the suggestion, I will have a look at the Crucial P2
  5. Thankyou so much for the reply! What cooler would you recommend? Having something quieter would be great. Also, I will have a look at the 6700XT
  6. Budget (including currency): £1300ish Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, 1440p, high settings. (Happy for 60fps, any more would be great!) + Daily school work P.C Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Starting from scratch. I have done a little bit of research, this is what I have put together so far. Don't know if it works or if I am way off so please offer advice. I thought about buying used, however I would much rather avoid this and stretch my budget a little more. CPU: i5-12400f GPU: RTX 3070 Motherboard: Asus B660-PLUS D4 RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 3600 Storage: 500gb WD_BLACK SN850 PSU: 850W - EVGA Supernova 80 Plus Gold Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow Coolers, am I correct in thinking the i5 I choose come with a stock cooler. Won't that be good enough for the time being? GPU, was also looking at 3060Ti and 3070Ti, choose the middle option, though am tempted to go for the 3070Ti. Fans, case come with two, will these be good enough? Storage, I don't play that many games at once, have been making do with the 256 on my Laptop so am assuming 500Gb will be enough for now. I was thinking I might add a HDD to store photos and documents. Please let me know if I am missing anything, or if any of those choice don't make much sense. If I can save a buck somewhere let me know as well haha. If it helps, I was thinking of getting a Odyssey G7 to go with. Any advice or help would be really appreciated. Have an amazing day!
  7. I need some help please, decided to go for the Xbox Series S, but not sure what TV to buy? My current TV is an old 768p LG, so am thinking I need an upgrade to make the most of the new console? Thankyou if you reply to this!
  8. I'm from and living in the UK, how come the i5 and i7 doesn't make much difference, also would I be able to play new games on it, at like low settings?
  9. Hi guys, I only have a Surface pro 5 that I'm able to play games on, I can obviously only run old games, recently ive been playing mass effect 2 and 3. Any idea of other games I could run?
