  1. Il try looking further onto MSI's website then.
  2. Just a small issue I'm finding trouble resolving. When I use Intel's Update Assistant/ Webpage to update the driver for my UHD 630, it spits out an error saying I need to contact the pc manufacturer to get the driver from them.......... one problem............. I built this PC myself :P........ i5-8400 with UHD 630 iGPU 1x8 GB G.Skill memory clocked at 2666 on an MSI Z370 A-PRO mobo running on Windows 10 Bios: 2.40 (relased: 3/8/2018)
  3. I think ive decided on what im building then, thanks for all your help everyone!
  4. I would like to stick with an m.2, but is there really any difference in speed between a 2.5 inch SSD and an m.2 SSD if the m.2 uses sata 6gb/s?
  5. So it would be OK to save approximately 20 bucks and just buy a new one when needed? I was planning on relying on the SSD for a short time then get a 1TB hdd, but I might go for the 500 gig one, and add later. thanks! Also, when it comes to storage solutions for the SSD, thats probably where im most confused... I want to take advantage of the SSD, but I really like the motherboard I have listed..
  6. If my laptop dies (its stuck with a 5% not charging error since its absolutely not built for gaming but i do it anyway) before I can buy the atx set up then il go mini atx... (and by die i mean need a battery replacement, its on life support charger cable atm, lol)
  7. I don't know, just a part of me likes the big "See me pesent" look.
  8. Understood, I changed it to a 550 Gold, but I really don't want to go higher... i'm on a pretty tight budget https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dDH48d/corsair-txm-gold-550w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020133-na
  9. The rated wattage is 225, with a 450W, thats only 50% PSU usage... I would like to get this system asap and upgrade it later on... would it not be optimal to buy a better one as the need arises?
  10. Is there any advantage to having a normal ATX board over smaller ones, other then the ability to add more components? Also Id like to keep this system for a while so swapping for better parts is more then likely going to happen, but not for overclocking. (Or at least not anytime soon)
  11. First time PC building, advice would be much appreciated! I don't need a 4k ultra three thousand fps overkill build... Just a modest 1080p 60+fps build (id like to go no lower then 1060, and would prefer 6gb model), and im also willing to hold out to see the newer gen of Nvidia's 60-series to come out. (also there are rumors of Nvidia possibly making a GTX 1160 (or 1660)? Basicaly RTX 2060 without ray-tracing? Is this true or just click bait?) im aiming at the system (not anything like mice, keyboards or monitors added on) costing approx $750-850 USD. I will pretty much only use this system for gaming, at home schooling, and very occasional light video/audio editing PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8 GHz 6-Core Processor $193.99 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Cooler Master - Hyper T2 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler $16.89 @ OutletPC Motherboard MSI - Z370 GAMING PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $119.99 @ B&H Memory G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory $57.89 @ OutletPC Memory G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory $57.89 @ OutletPC Storage ADATA - XPG SX6000 128 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $38.99 @ Newegg Storage Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $44.89 @ OutletPC Video Card MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB GT OCV1 Video Card $238.79 @ OutletPC Case Corsair - Carbide SPEC-04 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case $54.99 @ Corsair Power Supply Corsair - CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply $29.99 @ Newegg Operating System Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $98.89 @ OutletPC Monitor Acer - GN246HL 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor $199.99 @ B&H Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1240.18 Mail-in rebates -$87.00 Total $1153.18 Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-12-30 13:54 EST-0500 Couple of things- The memory is very intentionally split into 2 sets of 1x8 gb, I can only save a little bit every week so I mostly want to get the system posting, then add what I can when I can. I got a note stating that the m.2 uses SATA and will disable on of the ports when its populated, this sort-of concerns me, giving i was mostly going to use it for holding the OS. Im pretty open to changing parts but not very open to lowering performance. I am (for some reason) a little put off by some reviews about B&H, would like to stick to amazon, newegg, and outletPC Don't want to Over-Clock I am OK with mail in rebates Would like to stick with a semi-modular PSU Would like to stick to Intel and Nvidia A nice case is preferable Thank-you in advance!
