  1. Hi all, I am in the process of selecting the final parts to my build and need help with picking ram out. i am going 16gb for sure. Just am unsure what the best speed is for a 7 3700x and what brands are reliable as there are so many new ones popping up. Thank you in advance
  2. I need help picking a wattage and brand of power supply. I am going to run a Ryzen 7 3700x, 5700xt 16gb of ram, and a 570x Strix-E. I want fully modular as well. (in Canada) Thank you for any advice
  3. @Zando Bob did you mean to choose the 280mm?
  4. Awsome!! Thanks for all the help! I still have quite some time to figure what CPU route I want to go. It interesting to see everyone's different perspectives on certain aspects
  5. I am not to familiar with AMD CPUs and their performance for gaming compared to Intel, I do know that they are generally slightly cheaper than Intel. Ummm so i guess what I am asking is what level of Intel is it compairable to? I know their products don't line up quite equally. And thank you for your help already!!! And reccomendations for building on my own or getting a shop to build for me like Canada Computers?
  6. 1. Budget & Location Budget is about $1,500 to $2,000 CAD and im located in the western part of the Toronto Area. 2. Aim My plan is for this PC to run games like the newest battlefield and other AAA titles at 1080p-1440p at 60+FPS. I am trying to keep the build clean, and visually appealing as it is going in a high traffic area of my house. The other use for it will just be normal everyday productivity. I do want to run an AIO, as i want the mother board to look clean and slim. I am planning on doing a white, grey and black them with the parts, with RGB so i can change the theme based on the season 3. Monitors More than likely starting with one and see how it goes, will most likely upgrade to two in the future. they will be in the 1080p to 1440 range, not really sure yet 4. Peripherals Only peripheral i will be needing is the monitor, i am getting the other peripherals before. 5. List I have made so far CPU: i5 8600k GPU: nividia GTX 1070TI EVGA( or ASUS) CPU cooling: Water cooling either 120mm or 240mm Mother Board: Asus ROG Strix b360-F RAM: 16 Gb 3000MHz Corsair vengence RGB Memory: samsung 860 Evo 500Gb 2.5' SSD 1TB seagate barracuda 7200RPM PowerSupply: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+Gold Fully Modular Case: Fractal Design Meshify White As it stand right now the parts i have selected puts me at about $2,000. I am wondering do i need this high of specs to run the PC, and as a first time building so I go to a local shop to get them to build the PC for me as I scared of damaging parts of not having it work when i turn it on. Also im looking into doing cable mods.... thought? Thanks for any help, Peter
