  1. So i have a pc with a MSI X470 GAMING PLUS motherboard. I am in the marked for better, louder headphones than my current Steelseries Arctis 5. I'm looking to buy a set of Beyerdynamic DT990 and with that, a boom mic, probly a SVIVE set. But this is expensice and i'd like to do it over a few paychecks. on the info page of my motherboard it says somehting about being able to drive up 600 ohm drivers, the dt990 is 250 ohm. Do I even need a DAC then, how much differance would it make? and what model? I have looked at the Sound BlasterX G6 but I just don't know. I need some inpuput and while I realzie that there is A LOT of opinions, help me make an aducated choise. I play games like Escape from tarkov, R6, CODMW, and I listen A LOT to music, mostly rock/metal but also 90's and other silly stuff.
  2. I got an AX760 psu that I'm using in another build and I got some cables from a "Corsair Professional Sleeved Cable" set that states to be for: AXi/AX/HX/HXi/TXM/CXM/CSM/RM but in the PSU side the cables that followed my PSU says AX760/860 only, while my new cables says "type 3" in them and there seams to be a differance in the pin setup between them. This is for SATA power and it has 5 wires into a 6 slot connector with 1 missing pin, the missing pin is in the middle towards the clip in one cable and in the middle away from the clip in the other one. My question is: Can I still use the "new" cables or make due with the original ones I still have? Thanks
  3. So I'm building a system and haven't worked with m.2's before. the motherboard is a MSI x470 Gaming and the m.2 is a Samsung Evo 970 .5 TB The motherboard manual says "NOTE: M2_1 slot only supports PCIe mode" What does that mean? and shuld I use m2_2 instead?
  4. So Radiator->case->fans. Frp, the outside in.
  5. Ordered a NZXT h400 and a Corsair Hydro H115i PRO AIO and I realise that the h115i is a 280mm radiator and I'm not sure if it fits in the case. It says that the case can fit 2 140mm fans so I guess it should, but i'm not sure. Other than that. hould you mount it? in the top. push or pull?
  6. Looking at the list at MSI's page I find this: While the full name of my selected ram is: F4-3200C16D-16GTZR The full list Do you think this is close enough to work well or should I choose different ram just to be sure?
  7. So I've heard that there are not so many types of ram that can work with the motherboard I'm thinking of using so I'm wondering if my setup will work and/or how I can check this myself. Motherboard: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS Processor: Ryzen 7 2700x Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200MHz 16GB Cooling it with the AIO from Deepcool Dukase
  8. I found the one monitor becouse it was at 22% off. I live In Norway and i'm pretty sure that the monitor you posted isn't available here and buying it off amazon would make it pretty expensive with the import tax. How would I do that? As long as it's the correct speed, type and such What more could I go off?
  9. I think I will go for the Deepcool case or the NZXT one with an aftermarket cooler. Stick with the 970 and get an RX2070 after Yule(some would say x-mas) The monitor is "only" 1080p but higher frames are higher frames and I haven't had a 144 before so that'll be interesting. Funny that the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Gaming X and the MSI GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR are just about 50 USD apart in price. I will have to sleep on this. quite the investment Thanks for input
  10. So I'm running an old system which it's time to upgrade with these parts: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD (for OS and stuff) Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 (2x8 GB sticks) Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD (For games) Some HDD 4 TB or more. Bringing over from my old system: MSI GTX 970 250 GB 850 Evo SSD Corsair AX760 Considering: ViewSonic 24" LED Curved VX2458 (I have 2 60hz screens but my primary 120hz screen died) NZXT H700i Black/Red or Svive Luna X750 W Midi Tower or Deepcool Dukase Liquid So what I wondering is this: 1: Will the stock cooler be enough for the processor? Custom water cooling isn't an option. So unless I go for the Deepcool case I'm thinking to just use the stock cooler for the R7. 2: How well will the 970 hold up to current games? (Primarily thinking about Escape From Tarkov) I feel my current system is lacking a lot (i73770/B75MA-P45/16gb ddr3 1600) 3: Is there some obvious I have missed here? 4: Never heard about ViewSonic before is it a good monitor? Thanks for the help.
