  1. Think is this way: You are not an expert in pcs, you are just some guy who want to buy a good PC. You see X-model 5, and X-model 7, you will think "X-model 7 is newer and better". There might be some internal logic is these names (or even gpu names which are also awful in this regard), but its not intuitive. I mean, even in this logic, 7 means 8 cores and 9, 12. And even then its not easy to discern the generation. Thise are just awfully confusing names. Naming it: Gen X, Y cores, Z hz, would be so much better.
  2. Yes, but still, the name is very counterintiutive to the average user.
  3. Ahh, so the number related to core size and not generation. And the other number to each cores power. I was comparing Ryzen 5 5600x vs 7 1700x.
  4. Im checking usee benchmark, Ryzen 5 was released in 2020 and 7 in 2017. And 5 gets more speed ranking
  5. I don't get whats with the names. Why do brands put numbers in names not correlating with the generarion or how new the are? Rocky 2 comes after Rocky 1, easy. So why is it so confusing here? Is there an easy way to discern generations by the name without having to go down a rabithole?
  6. The tv is connected at the pc by default. I wouldnt know whicj is the correct resolution, but the issie ive noticed is with the video
  7. Hi, i tried to watch a movie with my samsung tv plugged with admi to my pc (3070 gpu), and it looked all pixelated. Then i moved the movie to a pendrive, plugged it on the tv, and it looked nice. Tried it both with vcl and windows media player. What could be the issue?
  8. All pcie slots are empty, only using 2 of the 3 pci x16 with the gpus.
  9. I havent tried 980ti with the 580, but mainly because the 3070 is the priority, only tried with the 980 to ensure it wasnt a compatibility issue with the 580. The weird thing is that the fans and all start up and stay on.
  10. All correct. And not raisers yet.
  11. The 3070 remained in the slot 2, then i tried it with the rx580 in the slot 1, and then swaped the 580 with a 980ti. Then i tried those in slot 1 while disconnecting power from the 3070 and then the monitor started fine. And, though everything fires up inside the pc, as the monitor doesnt, im not sure if the system actually starts.
  12. Hi, ive been running this pc no issue. Until i connected a second gpu, when i start it everything turns on (the fans of both rotate), but none of them send a signal to the monitor. All of the tried GPU work fine if they are alone, the issue is when more than one are at the same time, and just to make sure i have the drivers for all of them installed. The PSU is a Corsair PS800 ive used for years, and a 800w PSU should be well above what this system requires. - Could it be that the issue or another thing? PSU: Corsair PS800 Motherboard: B350F CPU Ryzen 7 1700x Usb keyboard and mouse. Drives: 2ssd, 1usb, 1normal. Ram: 32gb Case fans: 4noctua Gpu 1: 3070 Gpu 2: tried with 980ti and rx580.
  13. For anyone still interested in this, im starting to accept it might be the PSU, as i swapped the rx580 with an old 980ti (the 3070 still plugged), and the same thing happened. I still find it veeeeeeeeeeeeeery strange as it is an 800w corsair PSU, and im only running a Ryzen 7 1700x, 32gb ram and 4 drives on this pc.
