I've had my latest tower for about a year now that I built and I wanted to upgrade the RAM from 32GB to 64GB. Every time I add the extra RAM in I get an orange DRAM light on my motherboard when I try to boot it which is telling me that there's something wrong with the RAM. I had this problem before when I first built the system because I couldn't get it to boot with the RAM in the different slots. So what I did the first time was to just put 1 stick of RAM in the first slot to see if it would boot and it did. Then I put the other 3 sticks in the other slots next to it and it's been booting fine with no problems with 32GB of RAM for a year now. So I'm wondering what I can do to get the 64GB of RAM to work.
My specs are as follows -
Motherboard - Asus Prime X399-A
CPU - AMD Ryzen ThreadRipper 1950X
Power Supply - Corsair RM1000x 1000 watts
Video Card - Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2070
SSD - Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 512GB
RAM - G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 3200Mhz 32GB (Trying to upgrade to 64GB)
If you know of anything that I could try to troubleshoot it, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks =)
