  1. I updated the BIOS to the latest version and tried reinstalling the extra RAM and still no luck, the orange DRAM light still turns on at 64GB but the system still runs fine with 32GB >_< You might be right that it's the motherboard because I remember when I first built the system I had the RAM staggered like it showed my to install from the motherboard owner's manual where there would be modules like this O I O I CPU O I O I and the DRAM light would always turn on so I took out all the RAM and then put 1 stick in the first slot and it booted fine then I added the 4 sticks of RAM to the first four slots like this I I I I CPU O O O O and I've been running it like that fine for about a year now. I think the last 4 slots for the RAM on the motherboard are dead or something >_< but I know there's a 3 year warranty on the motherboard so maybe I should ship it back and have them replace it.
  2. There's 8 slots so I have a RAM module in each slot when I try to run 64GB, when I'm running 32GB I have the RAM in the first 4 slots to the left of the CPU. I'm going to try updating the BIOS tomorrow to see if that works ?
  3. I've had my latest tower for about a year now that I built and I wanted to upgrade the RAM from 32GB to 64GB. Every time I add the extra RAM in I get an orange DRAM light on my motherboard when I try to boot it which is telling me that there's something wrong with the RAM. I had this problem before when I first built the system because I couldn't get it to boot with the RAM in the different slots. So what I did the first time was to just put 1 stick of RAM in the first slot to see if it would boot and it did. Then I put the other 3 sticks in the other slots next to it and it's been booting fine with no problems with 32GB of RAM for a year now. So I'm wondering what I can do to get the 64GB of RAM to work. My specs are as follows - Motherboard - Asus Prime X399-A CPU - AMD Ryzen ThreadRipper 1950X Power Supply - Corsair RM1000x 1000 watts Video Card - Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2070 SSD - Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 512GB RAM - G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 3200Mhz 32GB (Trying to upgrade to 64GB) If you know of anything that I could try to troubleshoot it, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks =)
  4. Ok I figured it out what happened was that I was following the motherboard guide as far as where to stick the ram and it wasn't working but when I put the ram in the left 4 sockets it booted up just fine =) This rig is nice, I can play EverQuest 2 at extreme quality graphics and still get between 90-130 FPS. They've really made good advances with this new computer hardware.
  5. It goes from d0 to 0d when I boot up the system.

Skill TridentZ RGB 3200Mhz 8GBx4 - 32GB Total GPU - Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 2070 PSU - Corsiar RM1000x - 1000watt SSD - Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 - 512GB Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks =)
