  1. Because I get a really good discount on this computer from where I work.
  2. 2080Ti and idk what powersupply but they said it was like 800 watts
  3. I have been waiting for this stupid computer for a week and it finally arrived to have whats seems to be a faulty GPU. Please help.
  4. The benefits of being an employee and being able to drive to a best buy and exchange will always be a plus in my eyes. Hope your friend got it all figured out.
  5. Alright gamers, strap in because this is a hell of a situation. My laptop's USB controllers have decided to commit game over. So I am getting a desktop. And this is where the fun begins. I cannot build my own PC, reason being is I work at Best Buy and enjoy a fantastic discount on the accidental coverage, which now as of writing has come in handy three times with these damned laptops. (NOT USER ERROR) However Best Buy sells a limited selection of pre-builts. My budget is $3000. Now that includes a new monitor as well. I have looked far and wide and have found a few seemingly good options on Best Buys website. However before I cash in the laptop and pull the trigger. I want some input from the people who know more than me. Brands that are seemingly worth the buy: iBUYPOWER, CLK, and CyberPowerPC. Currently I have my eyes on these desktops respectively: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clx-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i9-9900k-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-3tb-hdd-960gb-ssd-black/6318138.p?skuId=6318138 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i9-9900k-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-4tb-hdd-500gb-ssd-black/6338285.p?skuId=6338285 My main concerns are how reputable these companies are. And whether or not these computers have USB 3.0 or above (VR Gamer). The CLK seems like a good deal, and it explicitly states it has USB 3.0. Thank you in advance. P.S. I cannot insure a custom built pc.
  6. I feel for you man. But I work at Best Buy, and I get great discounts and stuff, and the accidental coverage is great for me. I need a portable powerhouse for CAD at school and my internship. That’s why I got so angry at MSI. I loved my GT72 2PC. But it’s pretty old now and it’s really really REALLY slow at booting up.
  7. Yeah i ordered the Blade 15 with 1070 Max Q i7-8750, 512GB SSD, 1080 144hz. Let’s hope it isn’t a total flop as well.
  8. Well, if the razer doesn’t pan out either. Is the Gigabyte Aero 15X a good alternative?
  9. I’m addicted to the 144Hz It’s tough. Nothing else compares.
  10. Hello, I am writing on this account because I have no idea what my old one was, so new account. Old LTT fan. Anyway, I’m in college, it’s my first semester, I worked a long time to buy this laptop from Best Buy. I am also a Best Buy employee. I thought it was a great deal. Who would pay $2500 for the razer equivalent for the same hardware? a laptop that has good battery life and great specs? $2k seemed like a good price. Well, the first one had a defective keyboard, didn’t make it through a month before keys started to die. Second one, now. Didn’t even make it through the first semester, and it’s of course Christmas season so I won’t be able to get the Razer for probably a week. The fan for the CPU completely failed. It started making a lot of grinding noises against the housing of the fan. I’m going to try to get all my info off the laptop before wiping it and returning it again. Thank God I purchased the 3 year accidental and extended warranty. The main purpose of this post, is a warning. Do not, I REPEAT. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS LAPTOP, THE QUALITY OF THE RAZER IS SUPERIOR. Anyone have any clue why MSI just messed this one up so hard? Now I probably have to buy a chromebook to finish all my online courses, register for next semester, finish my final paper, basically do everything I need to do right now. And on top of all of that, shell out an additional 500 for the razer.
