  1. Thank you so much! I didn’t even consider that there wouldn’t be a FE, and I’ll keep that in mind.
  2. With Nvidia’s unveiling of the Super RTX card series expected to be just days away I was wondering how I could get my hands on one of the Founders Edition cards. I really like the look of them and I’m willing to pre-order or pay a little extra for that. Can normal folk even get Founders Edition cards? I realize that the announcement may be delayed, but I want to be ready for when these cards come out. If this has already been discussed or answered, please direct me to where. I couldn’t find it but then again I’m on mobile and I’m not well versed in how these forums work even though I’ve made a couple posts. Thank you
  3. I’m a console gamer if I have 45-60 FPS at 1080 I will be happy. I’m trying to back away from this but I still have pretty low standards. I don’t know how much of a tank ray tracing is, so I was just taking your word for it that it was a lot. I’ve briefly glanced at Battlefield 5’s recommended hardware and what I am suggesting is not that more advanced than it.
  4. Our laptops have close to the same specs and part of what I care about is snappiness in short processes. The point is in my personal experiences and research newer chips will be better at least in power consumption, and for compatibility.
  5. I am completely fine with a performance hit as long as I can hold 45 FPS I will be happy.
  6. From what I’ve heard the extra charge for the 2060 vs the 1660 Ti is worth it if you are going to use ray tracing a decent amount of time, which I plan too more and more as time goes on. I haven’t looked too far into Ryzen and performance but I have heard that it can be a very viable option. I’ve never truly ventured too far into this territory because I haven’t looked too far into it, partially because a lot of the benchmarks I’ve seen are with Intel chips.
  7. I have little experience with Ryzen but I’m partially against older processors. My friend has a cheaper laptop with an 8th Gen i3 and it beats the crap out of my laptop with a 7th Gen i7 in menial tasks. I don’t know how good last generation Ryzen processor but I’m very dispositioned against older processors.
  8. If I had someone build it for me I wouldn’t have to worry about coolers, power supply’s, cases and so on. While I’m all for having a pc with a nice SSD I would prefer having a pc that is guaranteed to work.
  9. I’ve never installed thermal paste before and if all my components get here at different times I still think this could be a problem. Dust where I am, can settle in two days. This makes me moreover want to get it custom built.
  10. Hello! I’ve recently got really into gaming but my Acer Aspire 5 just can’t do all I want. I’m looking to build a mid-upper range gaming pc that is VR capable. The specs I were looking to build with are: i5 9600k RTX 2060 16 GB Ram 256 GB SSD 1 TB hard drive I would first like your opinion on these specs and how I should change them, but also on another issue. I live in a very dusty house, out in the country where there’s no option to get away from the dust. It is also my first time building a computer so there is always the possibility that I will mess something up. I don’t have the best internet out here in the country so I cannot exactly watch all the content I need to properly install a processor in bulk either. My thoughts have turned towards getting it custom built. Should I try to build a computer and risk damaging it? Or should I get it custom built by someone, and if so, who?
  11. Thank you! Yes I think I have that exact model. Under About > Device specifications it just says Aspire A515-51. I saw the same thing on their website along with it having 4 GB of memory that you can’t take out. I will download CPU - Z as soon as I can.
  12. I have an Aspire A515-51 laptop with some pretty good specs for a laptop, with a 1 TB SSD, a dual-core i7 7th gen processor, but only 8 GB of ram. I notice on my task manager that while running a game, I get pretty close to running out of ram. I was wondering if there was a way to put more ram into my laptop, what type, and if I should even bother.
