  1. those two maybe not, but i do notice a difference between 144fps and 120fps within a few secounds.
  2. i do realize i shouldnt compare it with a 1080ti now but just as reference.
  3. friend of mine is running pubg at 300fps with 1080ti SLI, another one is running 180fps on a single 1080ti, both of them are on a 1440p monitor. im just asking because i really have no idea about these things.
  4. Okay. I'll keep that in mind. Would you say it's wise upgrading my monitor to a 1440p 144hz with this graphics card or is that a bad descision? what type of performance drop would i expect from upgrading the resolution?
  5. it's practically between the two, but since the one i have is overclocked by stock i would say its as good preforming as a 1080ti
  6. I asked around and people told me i shouldnt need to uninstall and reinstall drivers, i have all the new updates but theyre still the drivers from when i had my 980ti like 3 weeks ago. The driver version is 417.1 and such. The reason im asking is because im barely hitting 144hz 1080p on PUBG and get rapid frame drops to 30FPS on battlefield V on medium settings and raytracing off. How do i go about reinstalling the drivers?
  7. Would a MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z be bottlenecked by an i7-4790K? I'm asking because i recently upgraded my graphics card through warranty on an older faulty card and the performance increase isnt that great. It's supposed to be able to run like a 1080ti but barely runs like a 1070 or 980ti which is what i had before.
  8. im just buying a new monitor, thanks for the help though guys!
  9. cant find any DP to DVI-D adapters that support 144hz though, im looking for them now and all of them say "Does not support 144hz"
  10. cant find any DP to DVI-D adapters that support 144hz though, im looking for them now and all of them say "Does not support 144hz"
  11. Why can't i find any Displayport to DVI-D adapters that support 144hz on the market?
  12. i bought the monitor 3 years ago together with my computer. its an acer gn246hl
  13. no native resolutions then though and it doesnt allow me to select higher than 60
  14. should i get a hdmi 2.0 cable then? or what do you recommend?
  15. i ran 144hz before with my old graphics card, but it was a DVI to DVI cable, i dont know how to tell if its dual link tho
  16. 144hz, i cant select higher than 60hz in my settings though
  17. I have it connected via my HDMI cable right now
  18. I have a DVI on my monitor, but its a DVI to DVI and my graphics card does no longer have one so im kindof in the lost. Is a display port different from DVI? (talk to me as if im 7 yrs old please lol)
  19. i just bought a new graphics card (MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z) and it does not have a DVI port on the backside like my old graphics card did, and now i have no idea what type of cable i need to use or adapter i need to use to be able to use my monitors full potential again. Im sorry if its a very basic question but im also not very good with these things.
