  1. Hello, I currently have Premiere pro working on RTX2070 Max-Q + 32GB of Ram + i7 9th Gen from M.2 SSDs. However the performance is really terrible, my previous GTX1050Ti did a better job. Any advice? I am using CUDA acceleration Thank you
  2. Go for MSI GS65 Stealth Thin (2018). Just try to buy it from the store where you can physically open it and check the built quality to make sure it does not have any creaks...
  3. US. Weight the less the better. Battery Life - 5-7 hours of light use.
  4. Thanks mate... Worst case, I will try to sell my GS65 to someone who doesn't mind these bugs... And get an Acer Helios 300 (2019)
  5. That's the problem... MSI doesn't want to replace it... Microsoft doesn't have this model anymore in stock... LOL Thanks for your help anyways!
  6. Thanks!!! So I assume you also have GS65? Do you also have the battery indicator problem? Sometimes it is there but very dim But most of the times it is not. Also my screen touches the trackpad when I close the lid to use it on the external screen... I have to disable trackpad every time I wanna use the ext screen
  7. • 15.6-inch Full HD display • Intel Core i7-8565U • 16GB memory/512GB SSD • NVIDIA GeForceGTX 1650 Max-Q These are about P65 Modern... Not sure what to do...
  8. Hello Community, In january this year, I purchased MSI GS65 STealth with 1060. Soon, I started having issues with GPU. Sent it back to MSI and it got fixed, however Battery indicator is still not working. Complained to Microsoft Store where I bought it from and they agreed to exchange it. Here are my options: 1) Razer Blade 15 -Intel Core i7- 9750H 6 Core, GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, 15.6" FHD 1080p 240Hz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD - Have to add $1000 2)ASUS ROG Zephyrus S Ultra Slim Gaming PC Laptop, 15.6” 144Hz IPS Type, Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, GeForce GTX 1060 MAXQ, 16GB DDR4, 512GB PCIe SSD - Same Price 3) MSI p65 Modern - Same Price Or keep my MSI, because Battery indicator is not really an issue? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for your reply. Mainly because I am scared that I am going to face same GPU issues I had on my msi again. Also because Acer had 2 m.2 Slots + 1 2.5 bay. So having 2x512nvme ssds and purchasing another 2.5 2tb ssd would be a great storage machine as well. But other than than nothing really.
  10. Hello Forum, I currently have my MSI GS65 Stealth Thin (2018) with GTX 1060. But it has been through lots of repairs etc. It works fine now, however that Prime Deal of Acer Helios 300 (2019) for only $999 with GTX 1660Ti wouldn't let me sleep... Would you recommend picking it up and trying to sell my MSI? Or am I gonna get the same experience - screen quality wise, speed, reliability, gaming performance, video editing performance, etc.? Or should I just stick with my MSI as it is pretty much the same thing + it has stealthier design, better battery life + RGB KB as a bonus :) Thank you
  11. I did exactly what you said twice... It does happen again... Is it possible that there is some transistors that may have short circuit happening and causing this problem? If so I am guessing they can be easily replaced. And also, if I send the laptop to MSI under my warranty, what are the chances they will know that I've exposed the thermals and void my warranty? Thank you!!!
  12. but GPU does perfectly fine in Stress tests and A+ Gaming...
  13. I also touched the ram... Took it out and then. Put it back in... If Ram went bad can it cause this type of issue with GPU?
  14. Hi guys, I recently repasted my MSI GS65 Stealth Thin Laptop. After repasting I heard a little explosion (click) and a bit of smoke coming underneat the motherboard. I opened it again and there were absolutely no signs of burn at all. Now here is the issue: Every other time when I boot the laptop it does not recognize nVidia GTX 1060. So pretty much I have to restart it couple of times until it sees the Video Card. Intel Works fine, but nVidia is displayed as Basic Display Adapter. However when nVidia is recognized by the laptop it works absolutely like a best (stress tests, games for over 7 hours.) I already updated the drivers, reset and updated BIOS, repasted it again, update the MB Firmware, Reset the PC.... Nothing helps... Please help, this is irritating lol. Thank you!

  16. Yeah, they did. Everything is working fine, but once you restart it from the working state it's not. Then restart it again and it works fine again.
  17. Yes. I took it to the local repair store and they can't understand what is it. They said if something has exploded or burned itself, it simply wouldn't work. But this guy works after restart every time you boot it up. I already reinstalled Bios firmware and motherboard firmware, still the same thing...
  18. Hi guys, I just repasted my MSI GS65 Stealth Thin, and when I powered it on I heard click sound (maybe tiny explosion) and a little bit of smoke came out from the place where heatpipes are located. Since the motherboard is upside down I could not properly see where the smoke is coming from. When I powered on my laptop it did not recognize the GTX 1060. Then I restarted it and it recognized it. Then I plugged it in and restarted it again and same story GTX is not there. Restarted again and it works fine. Did a stress test, seems to be stable. That smoke and click worries me a lot though, what could it be? And what are the risks of not taking any action now (opening up again and looking for what is wrong)? I laptop works fine now and sees the GTX. Thank you!
  19. Just got my MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 2018 Version and couldn't be happier. I have looked for laptops for 2 months, and finally have decided on this one. I like Razer but I think they are charging too much just for the brand. If you buy MSI GS65 make sure you open it up in the store and make sure that there is no creaking in the chassis by the trackpad.
  20. I already broke the factory seal, so not sure if Microsoft will be taking it back... And even if I return this, what can I get instead with the same GPU, CPU, Screen, Thinness and Lightweight for 1600
  21. By putting the Foam seal tape around the battery.. And also my trackpad wont fully click in the lowet right corner.. Not a big deal but still irriitating.
